Yeah, being a non-Christian myself, I was kind of disappointed with the "twist" in the Book of Eli.

It was quite nice. It reminded me of something I would write. I guess at it's core it is a horror film, but it does a great job mixing/hopping between other genres as well.

So BM and BD should probably not insult each other and defend their respective opinions on said movie.

Oops, lost my cool there.

Anyways, last night I felt like watching a Thai movie. Chocolate features autism vs. tourettes in a kickboxing cripple fight.

Going to watch Inception, The Expendables and Scott Pilgrim on wednesday. Marathon at the cinema. woo!
Ratatouille. I shed three tears. Maybe my favorite Pixar movie now.
Most of Death Note. Was pretty faithful to the manga, which I'm glad of. I'm glad that the second film is going to be shown on Film 4 aswell, so I can watch that one, If I remember it's on... unlike Transporter 2...
The Death Note Live Action movies were god awful. There is something about Asian cinema that deter me away. Though I heard Old Boy is very good.

To each there own I guess. I just found it fun to watch to see the similarities between manga and film, and the differences aswell (Naomi's death especially, that was more fun than her old one)

On an unrelated note, that Shana avatar of yours makes me want to watch the film for it, even tho it's just the Friagne arc but redone... naa sod it, I'll stick to the Anime...

Naomi's death in the manga/anime version was my favorite scene in the entire story, well second, first is L's death.
Live action version? Not so much. And I hate how they just got rid of Near and Mello, those two kids were alright.
Also, what really lacked in the live action ones were the in head monologues that made the story such an intricate game of mind chess.

The Shana thing, yeah, the movie is basically like... playing a remake of a game you already played. It's like, I enjoyed the game, but only one new extra dungeon isn't really worth playing it completely over again... unless you're a real fan like me!

Ratatouille. I shed three tears. Maybe my favorite Pixar movie now.
Did you only JUST watch it now? took you long enough.

have you watched WALL-E or Up! yet?
I saw both those in theaters, but for some reason Rataouille went under my radar.
Coincidentally enough, the last movie I watched was Finding Nemo.

it was sad enough BEFORE I had a son of my own *wells up*
I've seen Ratatouille, the beginning and end of Wall-E, but no Up. I should watch Up, but I don't want to at the same time. It's conflicting in more ways than one.
I went and watched the Expendables.

The plot sucks even for an action movie.

I was joking with my buddies after, saying that they could have taken all the dialogue scenes out, leaving just the stuff blowing up and the fighting and whatnot, set it all to Ride of The Valkyries and it wouldn't make much difference.
I actually quite enjoyed the expendables, great tribute to 80's action flicks. Only problem was the running time and that not all the actors had a fair slice of the camera :(
I think that movie's biggest flaw seems to be (haven't seen it yet) that they put Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone in the same movie together. That's just too much bad acting to make a good movie. Sure they've had a couple successful movies, but come on!
that'll be sylvester stallone, nominated for a best actor oscar, nominated for a best actor BAFTA, nominated for a golden globe for best actor (drama), winner of a david di donatello award for best foreign actor, winner of a golden camera for best international actor, winner of a stockholm film festival award for best actor
