YDS' LET'S TRY THREAD
Posts
I don't think YDS is angry, more of vulgar. Well it's cool for me really, since yds is being honest, and that's what makes her videos interesting to watch :p
The Saint Seiya video is very disappointing. Saint Seiya deserved a better video. It's obviously a better game than the video made it out to be.
Seriously, I was laughing my ass off playing that game. I would've preferred to hear laughter than "FUCK FUCK FUCK what the FUCK". Please cheer up and play a TARG game.
YDS your link to Saint Saiya's game profile is incorrect. It leads to the Room.
Awesome vid by the way.

The Saint Seiya game was not made by a native English speaker, I though it was obvious. I know it shouldn't be an excuse, and that he should've made it in Polish instead (he's a Pole BTW), but he didn't, for some reason. I know I've had seen as bad or even worse from native speakers... Oh, and the game's a fan game aimed at fans of the show, which are mostly Europeans I believe, so if you're not familiar with the Saint Seiya series you will not like this game, period. Not that it was anything special, but it wasn't as bad as your LP makes it out to be.
As for The Room I really have no idea what you guys are bitching about. The author watched The Saw and/or The Cube and made a (very) short adventure game in the vein of those two titles. That's all, it wasn't an ambitious project or anything, just a diversion, and I believe the author stated that on the game page. I admit the music's horrible, but at least the script's alright and the game's length works in its favor. I liked it.

Sorry bro. You can disagree with me if you want, but both games were legitimately bad. First off, Saint Seiya was just annoying for multiple reasons. I've watched a bit of the anime before awhile ago so it is not as if the concept is entirely foreign to me. I am very vulgar when I play games in general, but it doesn't descredit certain things: (1) The sound effects were awful. (2) The battle effects were awful and annoying and I don't know who would use that kind of skill at all if they had to watch that anime clip each and everytime. (3) The Engrich is understandable, but objectively speaking, it's still a pain to even read. (4) So what if it was aimed towards fans of the show? I don't even understand your point. It is suppose to be some kind of nostalgic joke game? A serious project?
I am not even "angry" when I was playing the game. If you guys haven't noticed from all the other videos, I am just very blunt about how I am feeling. I was actually laughing at certain points of the game because I wasn't sure if it was a joke game or a serious game, as I did not look at any of the screenshots or reviews.
If you enjoyed The Room, that is very good for you, but I'll tell you why I didn't. (1) The music was so annoying and completely killed any kind of mood of mysteriousness or scariness . (2) The dialogue was just really weird and unnatural. I don't even understand what you are even talking about.
srryyy broooah i dont really want to pick an argument with you b/c you made me a reallly nice muse sprite sometime ago

Then he should have used Google Translate, at least then we could try to piece it together and it would have spared us the spelling errors.

That's funny, because I sure haven't.
If you know your English is that bad have somebody go over your game.
and isn't the whole point of a Let's Try to get an honest opinion of a player's first reaction?

Really? You didn't play Final Tear 1 long enough then! Couple hours into that game and it was pure "All your base are belong to us" gold! It actually made it really fun! Then I teleported into a wall and couldn't move... :(
May I ask that you give this game a try? Celdran's Curse
It's a bit on the hard side battle-wise (let's just say items are made to be used) but focuses on story more than anything. There's a hints and tips page in the profile if it proves too challenging...

I tried to play Final Tear 1 but gave up after going back in time and having to walk across that field and battle Efreet again.
Okay Liberty. I'll give it a go tonight or tomorrow.
Sorry guys! I can't find the file where I had a game queue so if you asked me to play your game, please remind me!

I had requested either Eternal Paradise or Dragon Fantasy: Venaitura while you were still doing V&V, but I think I've settled on DF:V. So here's the link (again) just in case.

I placed a request for one of these three.
Deep Fried Questing Grind - http://rpgmaker.net/games/1883/
Tales from Zilmurik II: Salvation's Aftermath - http://rpgmaker.net/games/1590/
Tales from Zilmurik V: Dawning of a Dragon's Valor - http://rpgmaker.net/games/1254/

For the record, Corfaisus, I think Deep Friend Questing Grind is my next LT after Legend of Denadel.
Well, you've said you're bad at puzzles, but maybe that means you'll be able to catch more bugs in them. Would you give Pokémon Hunter 4 a try?
I requested my game, Hayate no Gotoku! Dream Apocalypse in getting the LT treatment.

Sounds like a plan, just don't expect anything great. Even the jokes are becoming more meh by the day.
