Shining Force 1 and 2 are still really great Tactical RPGs nowadays!

Chocobo Racing definitely still rocks. Me and my buddy play that still. Great magicite battles to be had.
Even though it looks HORRIBLE.

2 maybe, 1 is mediocre, although fun.

I'm just saying 1 because I played it first and enjoyed it. 2 is undoubtedly the better of them.

I actually preferred Final Fantasy V more myself. I've tried to get into FF6 but was unable to.

so you're saying you prefer a guy named butts over scantily clad women in a steampunk dystopia
FF6 is totally great until you get to the World of Ruin and the whole game falls apart. But I guess I'm the only person ever who thinks that 8|
Actually I'm with you on that one Cho.

If anything, that's when shit gets real.
Here's my favorites lists for NES/SNES from my emulator manager. Not all of them would stand the test of time for the average player but I still play through most of the list at least once a year.

Eternal Punishment <3
I couldn't sit down and play that through. Always reach a brick wall of non interest at the beginning. Innocent Sin was the opposite, though.

Eternal Punishment is so much better, in my humble opinion. I don't know why people think Innocent Sin is better. It's inferior to EP in every single aspect.

It might have something to do with the voices. "It's whoopass time!" No...it's not. *turns off game*

this so much.

But really, this is just a nostalgia thread.

However, some games that are still fun are:
-Super Mario Bros. 3
-StarCraft
-Ducktales
-Final Fantasy VI
-Chrono Trigger
fuuuk
I forgot about StarCraft, that is probably the single best example in this thread.
SMB3 is the best example, but SC is still a really good one.

I still enjoy Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Also, Super Metroid, Earthbound, B.O.B., and Morrowind, although that last one isn't as old as the others, obviously. And I replay FFVII every now and then.
