I just want to get though my first conversation with Caroline, Alice and Earnest in State Park, with my three duos talking about dreams of the future. And maybe a small peck of a small battle, but really bossy. Seeing as this going to the prolouge anyway and Part 1, maybe Part 2 though.
I know I said I wanted to retire.... but I've been inspired by Yume Nikki... It's not a good game, imo, but I love the atmosphere and I want to make a short project similar to it, but more linear and less walking around nothingness.
I uploaded a unfinished demo of dreamwalker, i wouldn't call it a full demo, seeing as rmk is closing off. I just want to see how it goes, what bugs I need to wander off.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Hell yes, I got Wild ARMs/Zelda/Lufia2 style tools working in Inquity and Vindication. You can now solve puzzles with bombs and a laser cannon. (Because a bow and arrow is just seriously lame.)
Designing the ability set for character #2 now. Hopefully my insistence on making every skill useful for the entire game doesn't cause me to run out of ideas before I run out of characters.

More dreamwalker stuff, some faceset changing in events that shouldn't be there, and new charset for caroline.
I'll properly work on improving some dialouge, and not have characters end up speaking glibberish.

Going through my own changes list in anticipation of my beta-tester's ones. This is going to be a long process but I'm going to try and get as much done as soon as possible. Which means fixing errors as they come.
Right now I'm praying that the script calls in the game are going to work right. Or I'm going to fucking kill something because I know I'm putting the code it right scripters just suck at testing

Learning how to record gameplay footage. I finally found software that actually records at a good fps!
Then I uploaded a test video to youtube, but it ended up being very bright for some reason...

Mapping a port town. It sort of works as a central hub and will be quite big. I'm leaning a bit towards imagination rather than realism, but I prefer it that way.
Creating some franken-chips. Cutting up rudra tiles and adding in this cave chipset that I've been using... and then recoloring a bunch of shit. Minor graphical things aside (the tile floor looks a little wonkey, the cliff-surface-corner-edge-thingies are missing a piece), how does it look? Mostly, how do the cave walls look with the rudra tiles?

Just completed making the finishing touches in the Dragon Fantasy: Origins demo. Now it's sitting in the submissions bin awaiting acceptance.
Other than that, I'm going to start working on DF:Venaitura II's script again now that DF:Origins' demo is out of the way. Woot.

@narcodis: I feel like the place where the cave wall meets the brick wall is extremely awkward. The brick floor actually looks fine, but the... mud floor? I can't tell what type of ground it's supposed to be. It looks like bubbling mud, but could possibly be stone or dirt. You might want to recolor that one some more to make it clearer.
This isn't the screenshot thread though! But I try to be helpful anyway.

reminds me of the fire temple from ocarina of time! i look forward to seeing this a little more fleshed out. (:
thanks for the input LockeZ and tardis!
Oh, also...
Please don't think that is a screenshot from my game! That is merely a map testing out the tileset. You know, strictly for feedback purposes.
I'll probably make the dirt alot darker/browner... but I feel like the cave walls need that reddish hue to match with the brick walls.

Working on THE MOON for Mario vs. The Moon Base.
Anywho:
How does this look for the general style of the moon? What about the colors? Also, the moon crater from FFVI was WAY too detailed for a mario game, so I sprited my own from hand. how does it look?
I also peppered the moon with "star" scenery - they twinkle. Yes/no on star scenery? (And yes, I made a Level icon out of the SMB2 ship!)

Now I'm doing a short love story gothic emilie-autumn inspired game built over MAGE (I know, I'm lame. But I don't have time, and it'll be in the credits! And you'll even be able to play the original thing too.)
And I'm thinking on wether I should submit it or not. I mean, I work on it steadily everyday, so I kinda want to get a little crit before things get more definitive. xD

Joseph: I actually recommend submitting it. I was against submitting my own in-progress project because I didn't really expect people to pay attention to it and be helpful (based on the amount of criticism my finished game got). But I was urged to submit it, and so I did, and people actually have been great so far. I've gotten more feedback and advice from my first-dungeon screenshots and my one blog post than I did for all of Vindication. Kind of crazy, but I'm not complaining!
Kentona: Looks quite barren, which is totally appropriate for the moon! If you're worried about it still looking too detailed, you might try getting rid of the two mini-craters inside the crater, and see how that looks. But I don't know. Maybe you should have craters of different sizes? If I do a google image search for "moon crater" I get photos that aren't just one crater, the craters basically make up the entire landscape.

But like you said, that's probably way too detailed for a Mario game. Also I really have no idea if the entire moon looks like that, or just a few spots that are popular places to take photos of. So maybe just include one or two big craters. I mean really big craters. Like, one of them 4x4 tiles and the other 9x9 tiles.

I decided it would be better if I didn't use rtp or refmap for Peklo RPG so I made a sprite for it. I also decided I should restart it completely and use Game Maker than RPG Maker for it, because I have no idea how to script in RM.

Based off of BoFIV. I guess this will probably be vaporware.
I am also working on my last Anagram animation.

man look at him go, all unfinished and everything
