I'm going to go now
Spent all day making one large cave map for part of the first dungeon, not giving a shit about the 'clash' between the XP/VX tiles. Everything on the parallax layer gets slightly pixelated on export anyway (which is intentional), and the player's likely focusing on the touch encounters instead of the pretty crap--well, that's what I do when playing rm gams.
I'm usually quick at parallaxing, but nature maps are hard. ._.

I feel like shit...but I am making my final touches on my MASSIVE character selection screen while working on editing the game's 350 items that are in this thang. Yep, good times.
After thinking for about a week on an interesting character to my story, I'm going to introduce him and.. he needzmoarlookz.
Well I've been spriting another character from a REMAP style for my game. (Pretty much just taking parts off and editing parts onto a REFMAP looking sprite, I.E custom hairstyle ect.)
I don't know why, but I like messing around with REFMAP character sets and making my own style to them--alas face-sets too, But I've hit a dilemma. I can't decide out of a few outfits, glove and feet pieces he should wear. I've been staring for ages about what to make his attire look like but... pixeling really close has drained my creativity on his attire for now!
So, what do you guys think?

actually I know why tbh. It's because it's coming from a menu scene that's picture based.

Doing something that was thought not possible: animating monster sprites in rm2k3!
Well, not really.
There's a moment where a monster transforms into another, but I didn't want to use the default transforming method in 2k3, which is monster A -> blink -> monster B. So what I did was creating a battle animation for the transformation, and placing it on top of the monster. It works because it also covers the background (it's not a transparent animation), but the final effect is very smooth.

I spent two hours trying to fix a bug that wasn't a bug... I had just forgotten that I couldn't put a door at the end of the map... Oh well.
Someone can transform that easily? Who knew! Now you have to make her animated while she's idly standing waiting for her turn.
