Not to troll or anything, but RMN has always been more technically advanced than anything else, because its a store bought system from >> http://www.djangoproject.com/ . Unless of course you and WIP made the django project, then you two are awesome and I hope you're making a mint.

Otokonoko kind of clarified this, but django is not a CMS. It's a web framework, which only provides classes, methods, etc. which can be used to develop web applications. We're pretty open about using django; there is a fancy button at the bottom of every page that says "powered by django". In a game development sense, what we have done would be more akin to using the DirectX or OpenGL graphic libraries than using a prefabricated game engine like Unreal. Also, totally not making a mint.

When I read RMN was going to close down, I immediately got all depressed, even though I have only been member for 6 months or so, I believe. Thank you so much for taking over the site, rcholbert, I would have probably turned my back on RPGmaker if it weren't for you. May you treat skilled and unskilled creators alike, and host this website for many years. Thank you for saving this community.
