WHAT ARE YOU JAMMING TO?

Recently I've been listening to a lot of Lofi, it's just soothing to listen to and I particularly like listening to it when I do my homework and or sleeping!
I started listening to Lofi a couple of months ago and I made my RMN account yesterday and I based it on a music genre: Lofi! <3

New Hinds! I'm getting into it. Plus the album cover is very attractive. Also, it's interesting to think about the composition and how you move your eyes around.
Another great album cover and a new song from Empress of. Digging her as usual. There's something very Blood Orange about it too. I guess Devonte might have produced the album.

Unironically, covers people have made of Finger Eleven's Paralyzer because of a bizarre music choice for a meme.
Paralyzer with a Mario Kart DS soundfont
Otherwise, getting nostalgic for those 00's hits, such as this one. I once BS'd this song in karaoke during middle school.

I've been rocking this playlist I made for listening while I was designing my latest game. All the songs have some sort of significance for me, which is cool for those long night sessions. Even though I finished the game, I still find myself coming back to the playlist:

It's on spotify, tho.
Five standout tracks to try:
"The Problem" - Direct Hit!
"Land of Confusion" - Genesis
"My Famed Disappearing Act" - Thank You Scientist
"Pink Cloud 9" - Keep Flying
"The Greys" - Devin Townsend

I've recent dove back into one of my favorite genres of music - prog. Revisiting Steven Wilson's works recently thanks to his recent release of Eminent Sleaze, and finding it surprising how vast his collective works are in terms of musicianship. I don't think I've heard a bad song from him, or really even a bad album because of how deliberately paced, recorded and mixed it all is.
Also - Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2's OST make me go 100000x harder in the gym, and it's ridiculous.

I love industrial & punk, but Ive been (totally not) crying over this song while thinking about my ships.
Feeling a lot of that soaring, epic, emotion-packed prog/arena rock lately. Lots of Marillion, Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson, Pink Floyd, The Gathering, and even Anathema.
Edit:
And heaping portions of Camel as well... Stationary Traveler is imo one of the greatest tracks of all time and a highlight of the genre.
The intro of this song was massively influential on Nobuo Uematsu's FFIX soundtrack. You'll hear it instantaneously:

Bardcore is a gift.
Synthwave is also a gift.
