LockeZ already has those, except his lazor sharks can swim in lava too.
author=LockeZYeah! I'll do that. The only problem is the foreground image covers everything, I can't fix that, but making the background like that only is a simple solution. Thanks!!
Try making only the sky orange, yeah
The simplest way is probably just to find a background sky that is supposed to be a sunset, instead of tinting anythign
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Oh sweet laser sharks

LockeZ, looks nice but your game needs more Tractor Beams.

I don't know. Are you volunteering to script one for me?
I know that one is really really bad. But I'm lazy as fuck abouteverything graphics stuff, and don't really even know what I'd want a good one to look like. So, in line with my usual paradigm of endless procrastination, I haven't bothered to do anything yet except add the functionality I need to the default UI.
Obvious semi-easy changes I definitely need to make include dynamically changing the size of the skill-name text box to be exactly as big as it needs to be to fit the name of the skill, and putting the ATB bar behind the character's name instead of on its own line.

Battle anims finished for the first two characters; finishing the third then going to work on charset stuff 'o'

Pretty unusual graphics style, there. I can't say I'm a fan, but it's not terribad.
How old is that girl, four or five? She comes about up to the waists of the two adults, if that.

Lol, blobs of flat color are all I can do with consistency at the moment =(
She's 12ish, I'll make her taller =D thanks!

You can do some really cool stuff with that art style.

Flat blobs of color aside, I do at least like that the characters are more realistically proportioned than typical pudgy chibi rpg maker sprites. I also like that the green-skinned guy appears to be wearing a tie and wristwatch. Business ogre?
Also, there's kind of a point of view problem with the lower of the two enemy minions. Make the boss cover it up, instead of vice-versa, since the boss is closer to the viewer than the minion (its legs touch the ground further down on the screen). If you don't want it covered up by the boss, then move it to the right until the monsters don't overlap.

Working on smoothing edges now -- the two smaller mobs are supposed to be flying, spatially it's closer to the party and on the left while the other is the same distance from the ground and on the right. I tried adding shadows below them, but when ticking the 'flying' option, the shadows hovered too. Maybe there's a way to work around that with eventing, but that doesn't really seem important at the moment since they seem to work alright ingame.
I was trying to make the guy's skin more tan than green haha =P He's supposed to be wearing a vest and black wristbands. Should I tweak his appearance aside from skin tone?
This looks amazing ;-; What is it from?

You're kidding, right? This is a joke? Out of this World

The portrait needs another clean up, orz. Well...I forgot to delete a layer with the original Eric portrait which was erased so I could find his actual proportions.
