It's grammatically incorrect and not a little annoying to boot. Also, try using \|\! at the end of the first message box. It will make it harder to just skip by pressing buttons.

(The \| makes you wait a moment and the \! won't let the message close until the player presses confirm. Together it makes sure the player will not be able to button mash their way past the message without even knowing it's there. Handy, eh? Also the second character of \| is just \ with shift held.)

Well... It feels kinda awkward to me to see the "!", "?", and ":" so close to a word... I 'll fix them all if I have to, it 's not a big deal. Weird though, I always type my essays like that and so far, only one teacher pointed that out. :P

There you go - correct grammar. The last sentence was a bit too awkward so I reworded it so it made more sense and flowed better. When in doubt, dumb it down - you're not writing a Tolkein-esque classic after all. Get the basics down before making it pretty.
Aw come on, you didn't need to pick on those small details. XD I was simply typing out what I thought. I wasn't trying to be cool or anything. :P

The women probably got scared and shitted out some blood as part of an emergency period prior to their death.

I actually think you've managed to make that dithering style part of your game's charm, so don't worry about it.

That said, that is extremely cool. I've always liked portraits that animated a bit and yours goes above and beyond; the talking doesn't feel too clunky or out of place when she does it, which is usually one of the first concerns when it comes to animating speech.

In short, well done! It really does look lovely owo

Those are some really, really nice animations!

My only thought is that her eyes shifting feels weird in one or two of them - specifically when she's staring angrily (presumably at someone else). When she's just smiling for no particular reason it looks natural for her eyes to wander a little.

The dithering is an odd but cool effect!
Holy crap, Itaju. Those animations are fantastic.
The only thing is, will they stop the player from skipping dialogue they've already read? For instance, if they died and have to repeat a scene?
if you die you will respawn at your last save point with minor money loss. you will only have to rewatch cutscenes right before boss battles.

anyway, I was able to manage to make the option that allows text to appear instantaneously durin Rm2k3 testplay to also work in game mode. don't worry about animations. if you skip a textbox, the animation is skipped as well (if you wondered why it took so long in the video: i just let the animations move a little bit for demonstration purposes :) )

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Part of me is like "oh my god animated facesets in RM2K3," and the rest is just like "oh my god animated facesets" without the engine conditional even being attached

Blithering about dithering aside, that animation is really smooth and natural. The shocked one doesn't look very shocked, all the others look like what they're supposed to look like though.
Yes I agree with the others; the animation is very impressive. It reminds me of the animated portraits we used to see in point and click adventure games.

The water looks quite nice too.
Itaju, I love it. However you'll have a hard time getting every character or NPC like that so it could pose some time development inefficiency.

EDIT: Mistaken Doublepost, sorry.
only main characters will have faces like that. right now I have animated faces for 4 characters, the full version of the game might have something around 10-15. npcs won't get faces at all
