messing around with things
It bothers me that I don't have anything to put in that space below the description...

Finally got a set of completed main character portraits and BG art. Now to start on the colossal refactoring of the engine's internal structure. :<
@Louis: oh my god that is a lot of talents. That space doesn't look bad at all though, and it makes sense if some talent descriptions use all 3 lines.
@Sail: I love how smug that woman looks

LouisCypher is the skill tree script you use custom or is there a place I can obtain it?
I built it from scratch, like everything else in this game.

slashphoenix that is only a quarter of them, there's a tree like that for each of four elements
So, 216 talents? Does each tree represent a different playstyle, or something along those lines?
Are both Louis and you working on it, Craze? Because I think you've probably mentioned 3 or 4 different ongoing projects to me in the past week and I'm curious to know if other people juggle that many games too :P
Craze isn't working on him, but I spill pretty much everything in my head to him, and then we both pick it over.
It's good to have a gam mak buddy.

I'm only working on a single project. AND SINCE IT'S THE SCREENSHOT TOPIC AND NOT TALKING TIME:
buy skills !! (This is a heavily edited version of Yami's Skill Shop script.) If a character's portrait is faded, you've already put the skill on them. For every skill you purchase for a character, their next skill costs another 100 Essence. You can freely reset a character, but you'll lose a little Essence.
This isn't finished, ftr; I'm putting faces of the two "best" (arbitrarily chosen by me) candidates for each skill on the right side of the skill list. They in no way impact which skills you can put on whom.

@Craze: It looks great so far. Everything is organized very nicely, and the way the shop progresses (with the +100 Essence per skill) is a nice way to level things out. If I had to be that guy who throws out the super nitpicky comment though, I'd say that the faded faces aren't really faded enough. Maybe like, another 10% or something? I don't know, it probably won't cause any problems since you'll remember who has what skills anyways.
That's much clearer.
EDIT: Some content:

Working on recreating the environment of World 1, this time with some upgrades. Trying to put in some more colour, and more detail. Ignore the unfinished party sprites, I still need to put those together.

@Craze: I'd have faded them even more than that. Not that it looks bad the way that is; it's distinguishable enough as is. I'm just one of those folks who likes no ambiguity in such things; seeing it at a glance and knowing without a doubt what's what.

alright thanks, it looks fantastic by the way. When do you think a game page will be made?

*ironically posts a picture of avatars and words* :D

just wanted to share my icons with you all
they're in line with text and colored and asjdfakjsdbflajsdn this excites me more than it has any right to
Nah, s'good to like the icons. They're nice and clean, and they suit the visual look of the rest of the text.
I think you should color the status effects differently because they don't stand out enough.
I don't think they'd look as good coloured, unless the saturation is pretty low.
Could be wrong though; I'm just basis that on a mental image~
And they are (well, at least the two we're shown) pretty different from each other. Reckon it'd be more of a problem if all the icons were too similar in shape.
