THE SCREENSHOT TOPIC RETURNS

Ahh. I remember Touhou Mother using at least the battle system, but not the overworld system that you got going. Real spiffy looking~
Eh, its a bit of an added to pain to display the letter above the boxes.(In battle their sprite appears above)
The names appear when selecting on who to use an item/armor like in EB though.
I made my own naming system cause 2k3s italian fix was so ugly.

In all seriousness though, I -DID- say bare minimum and that more will be added later (if I can get the right tiles for it anyways). I figured at least there'd be enough in terms of layout or whatnot, or at least SOMETHING to help with maybe with future maps for this or something?
Personally speaking, the blub about what you wanted to do for the dungeon ("I want puzzles!") was more informative than the screenshot itself. So, first, define the number of puzzles that you want players to solve. Three seems a good number
@Dookie: Seems like that took a bit of CMSing to do, no? Always interesting to see o.o
@Marrend: Umm...not that many to be honest. The only gameplay options (I'm assuming for dungeons) that's been introduced are hidden paths really. The game itself doesn't delve too much into puzzle/gimmick territory for its dungeons. ^^;;

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Oh, you're such a bad liar. I know you have all sorts of terrible puzzles and traps, and 80% of your characters have exploration-based abilities.
Well, lemme think here. Before you get to this particular dungeon, there's hidden paths, pitfalls that send you back to the start of the area (not that those matter much), a couple mini-mazes, and a "find 5 keys" thing. That's all there is before that dungeon. I guess you're referring to later on, which I'm not sure if I'm going to go through with or not!
Also, only 2-3 have exploration-based abilities (for finding secret passages, pits, and/or hidden items)!

I reworked the palette. The shadowy side of the cliffs was a bit to bright in the new version - already fixed.
Comparison: old palette.

I think the new colors fit perfectly fine assuming this is a more serious game about the reconstruction of this fantasy universe (which is what I've come to expect from your other work).
Cashmere being illogical again and creating an entire game out of the 8-pixel wide paintbrush tool in the image editor. Classy, boy.
to Alichains I feel like that grassy slope is both too narrow to navigate across safely, and too steep an angle. I would estimate it would be at, like, a 85 degree angle or something. Almost vertical. Which would not be natural against that rocky cliff.
to Itaju I'm not sure if I prefer the new palette or the old. The new palette seems cleaner and more professional, but more dull. The old palette lets you see the puzzle piece edges clearer and it has more contrast between stuff so you can see it better. I don't know...

^Still looks better than VX ace RTP!
@Cashmere- That's actually not a bad contest/game event idea, make a small game using only a PAINT editor like program.
Might teach some people the value in self-made resources.

That's beautiful yuna! I love the buildings and the character sprite, though the trees don't really fit well. I like the palm, though!
