I finally came around to change some things in Hisao's Hospital Room. There is still a lot of stuff that is missing - for example a custom door, lights and a lot of final touches like photos and such. I think it looks a lot better now, though. I changed the height of the table and the lenght of the bed, the proportions aren't perfect, but a lot better - at least I think they are.

@Kaempfer: I wrote that the light is still missing - by that I meant the light sources. :)

@SnowOwl: Thanks. I think you mean the lines from the wall tile that you can see. That's the end of the room, so to speak. I can expand the background if it looks weird and make it one solid wall.

Edit: Finished the map...as far as my own imagination goes, anyway.

JosephSeraph, Facesets are cute :3 I like your colorful outlines, especially with that girl Natalie. I just checked what that FPLE is, and WOW! that's really cool. I need to look into it. I'd really like to make some hardcore old-school RPG.

Schwer-von-Begriff, It's really shady. Dunno if too much, depends on the situation I guess. Because of black outlines, graphics give a little earthboundy-vibe. Looking good nevertheless.

@Orange0: Don't worry, the shading won't be too much in other places. It is night/late evening when the game starts, so I wanted to portray that. Some parts of the hospital will have shading like that, but others not so much. It works good in-game and does not distract you too much once you got used to it. Thank you! I had that same feeling about Earthbound. But I like it, gives off a simple yet unique sort of vibe.

@thatbennyguy: Wow, thanks! It has even more objects scattered around now - a teddy bear and a plate filled with food. I'm a sucker for small things like that. I like it too, but it won't be too much in certain areas. Depends on what I need the room for, I guess. Oh, you will! Not in the demo, since that only features the hospital, but you will. You can run around with a flashlight, though.

I really like the arrow puzzle. It's small but really fits in there well. I think a chest would be great to have in there - one that you can access through one path. I like the other puzzles as well, really cool. =)

Those are some nice maps, Benny! I'm just a little confused what that dark blue stuff in the water in the second screen is supposed to be. If it's a waterfall, I'm not quite sure you got the effect you were looking for.

I am a big fan of what's going on here. Minimal, recognizable, sharp. Nice use of colors, too! However, do you think you really need the floor arrows? Due to the small size of the rooms, I think you could probably do without them and the player wouldn't suffer confusion.
