[RM2K3] CHOPPY BATTLE CHARACTER ANIMATIONS

I have kind of a strange problem here. I am using battle animations for the battlecharacters in my game, and I have it set on all weapons that they should move to the target and attack, and then return to position.

I created a custom dashing animation and a custom "jumping back" animation for each character, and made sure that they all had the exact same settings in the character animations tab.

But, for some reason, despite the fact that I just copied and pasted the same "dash" and "jump" animation for each character, only the first one displays correctly, and shows the full move to target and return animation.

That is, for the first character in the database, his animations work properly. I copied and pasted the actual animation and changed the image file for the other characters, so they are all essentially the same animation. Yet, for some reason, the dash and jump animations are very choppy for the other characters instead of running smoothly, like the first one.

I have checked and rechecked everything to ensure that all settings for animations between characters are the same, but I can't seem to figure this out.

EDIT: Created a skill that when used causes the character to move to the target. When used, dash and jump animations display just fine. When using the regular attack command though, they're choppy. What gives?
There are also animations associated with weapons. Check the weapon animations for the other characters for their weapons.
I only have one weapon in the database right now that all characters are using just to test animations, and the settings are the same for all of them under the "animations" tab in the item screen. :/
Might be some bug in RM2k3... But to be sure if it is a bug: What happens if you (temporarily) cut your second hero and paste it at in an unused slot, then copy the first hero and paste it at the second slot?
If I copy and paste the 1st character in the 2nd slot, it still works fine for him. Doing the reverse and copying the 2nd character into the 1st slot does not fix the problem, though.

Also, something strange, when I copied the first character into an empty slot at the bottom of the character list and went to do a test battle he still automatically came up as the default character despite no longer being 1st in the database.

Anyhow, I am wondering if maybe copying and pasting the animation itself somehow corrupted it. I am going to try just remaking it, but it will be a major pain if this turns out to be the problem. I will let you know, thanks for the help.

EDIT: Still happens, even when starting with a completely blank animation and remaking it frame by frame.
It only affects dash and return so far though, but then again I haven't gotten to "attack" yet, so there may be others that have this problem.
Hm, then I have no idea...

What RPG_RT version do you use? Any patches?
I am actually using your RM2k9 "patch" or engine, apart from that nothing special, regular Rm2k3 is 1.08
Okay, try replacing your project's rpg_rt.exe with this one, it's version 1.09a. Maybe the bug is fixed there...
Doesn't seem to have worked.

I've tried a clean install and replacing the RPG_RT with a couple different versions and nothing seems to work. Even the first character is doing it now.

The choppiness just gets a little "different" if that makes any sense.
None of my other projects have done this in the past, so I don't understand what suddenly caused it.

The character's attack animation does it too, just as bad as the other ones.
Does this also happen on a different PC?
I don't really have any way to test that.
I can send it to you if you don't mind seeing if it works on your computer, it's not a big project.
