*waves madly* I am the one, the only, the shiniest of shinies...STOMPHOOF!
Yea yea nothing major :P
Figured I would do my duty, come in, say hello, and state my personal goals here. I have 2 major goals folks.
1) Learn how to make games in RPG Maker VX or XP (not sure which yet)
2) Review awesome indie RPGS for my website: www.pressstarttojoin.com
For number 2: If you got any suggestions on games I should look at please tell me. I got a list right now of ones I want to check out, but could always use more. Just be aware: I am a critical and truthful guy ;)
For number 1: I have no idea where to start, which I should use, why I should use it, ect ect. 0_o I am a halfway decent writer and story creator, and character designer, but beyond that I have not really done more then dabbled if you will.
And finally a bit about me!
I am 29, married, live in the hellhole known as Orlando FL, and am an avid "gamer nerd". I enjoy old school console RPGS (PS1 / SNES), along with most PC RPGs. I also DM Tabletop RPGs (notably DND 4th Ed and Pathfinder), usually via Play by Post!
Uhhh thats me in a nutshell.
SO HI!

SO HI!
Welcome to RMN! We always could use more reviewers.
I am also 29, married, and live in a hellhole (that is considerably colder than Orlando, especially in the winter)
1) I'd go with VX, since it has a few more features out of the box than XP (unless you are really into mapping)
2) What games are on your list?

Yea I am a fan indeed. Hot down here today aint it >.>
DBD is hilariously awesome. He needs a bigger push imo.
Thanks for the welcome as well. I got plans for my own first game (Gonna convert a Pathfinder Adventure Module into a Stand Alone Game).
He does need a bigger push indeed. At least he's on TV and winning some matches. Better than what most guys get.
It is hot. Too hot. It's only going to get hotter. -_-

Dont remind me. I live in the wrong feckin state man >.<
Also DBD got himself a title reign which is more then some people.
So are there are good "getting started" tutorials for VX? I was trying to find some general ones but all the ones I find are very specific in their application.

The Cartographer is a great game. It's good you picked it.
Thats also the order I am intending to play em in.
Based on which ones look most awesome :P
Yea yea I want the good before the "not sure" haha
I will say the last "RPG Maker" game I have played (and I actually bought it) is "Lilly and Sasha Curse of the Immortals"
I also added Vacant Sky just now after finding it randomly :3
