Possible to have one? Or like tracking what's hot or whatever.
I noticed an increase in downloads when my game got on the front page. The front page effect could do games some good.

This is called the "Legionwood Tactic" ;-)
I think your gam reaches the front page whenever you set a new Download link or something... but be careful, I once cleared the download counter! D-:

It's true, that is my plan for my game ,don't be offended, if you didn't do that, where would your game be?
I plan to update my game with small demos getting slightly larger each time and then release the full game.
Maybe this is just me talking, but doesn't the "Rating Reversed" option already sort gamepages by having games with no, or "N/A"-only reviews up front?
*Edit: As a front page idea, I'm not sure where this gets this site. Sure, there's a mess load of games without reviewsthat are feeling sad an lonely, but a user will only be attracted by certain games to begin with. I dunno where I'm going with this thought anymore.

People who want a review or increase download counter can just say "Hey, I changed a chipset!" and push the gam to the front page with a new download.
If you don't do that every week then it shouldn't offend anybody. The best is you really have made changes. ;-)

Gaming the system so that your game is constantly on the frontpage is against the rules. (a.k.a. The Davenport Rule - named after the first egregious offender).
People caught abusing this system with their game download will have their game forcibly removed from the frontpage. Repeat offenses will lead to the game being removed from RMN.
Don't do this.

Darn. So it's like you only want certain games to be on the front page? Well this sucks. There is no point of posting your game on a site where most people only browse the front page...
Unless you want that days worth of being noticed. :|
If you don't want people abusing the system, implement a new one. :|
So it's like you only want certain games to be on the front page?
I don't think it's as-so-much that the front page should only have certain games, or that there's a "reserved" list. It's that making minor updates to a game's download(s), thereby constantly being on the front page, can be, and certainly has been, annoying to the user base.
If a game is so buggy that constantly updating a game in this fashion is required, then one must question the quality of said game. There may be situations where updating a download on a consistent basis is acceptable. However, I am not quite cognizant of what those situations are.
Abusing the system is not the thing I wanted to discuss. -_-
I was wondering if it were possible to be on the front page legitimately. Like a section that says, these games haven't been reviewed yet, or what's popular on RMN, etc.

Ha, yeah, there's certainly a way. Just get featured.
But seriously, there are people who search for completed games without a review. That sort of criteria is only useful to a small set of people though: those looking to review something. I'm all for having it as a search field, but it's probably not needed on the front page.
There are something like 300 games with a download without a review. I will pull some queries tomorrow or the next day and post them in a topic.
I will look into somehow incorporating a search for unreviewed games into RMN4
...or you could obey the rules...?

Let's build a mountain!
Beneath the 6 'Latest Games to Play', why don't you add a row for 6 'Random Games to Play', and it refreshes daily or by a specific Refresh button (not the browser refresh).
I'm not sure how you could avoid it from displaying dead projects from 2007 without manually creating the selectable database, but it would be a way to give fledgling projects some limelight.
There is already a button to get a page of random games on the RMN4 frontpage.
(we really did try to put some thought into RMN4's frontpage!)

YAY! Go moderation! (repeats multiple times)
I CAN'T WAIT FOR RMN4.
