I keep knocking things over, and never get in trouble, I do take things too, while at that party quest.

Max, the Thalmor are why my first character was an Altmer sorceress. I love that part of the backstory/current situation (also, good way to get Elven gear if you're tough enough: tell some Thalmor Justicars that you're a worshiper of Talos, then survive).

I feel the same way about crafting/quests. My paladin is focusing on the Imperial Legion when not pursing the main quest, except he's only on the second real story dungeon because of EVERYTHING ELSE EVER - I'm going to go get the horn at... level 21.

I love finding word walls. And fighting dragons. And crafting. And EVERYTHING.
I leveled up really fast as a stealthy character. I'm already Lv35. I am stealthy enough now that I can backstab people in the face (the 15x multiplier is awesome). I started using a shield for those moments when I have to fight things for real and I wish I'd started sooner. Shield bash is so completely overpowered and I can spam it all day because I have so much stamina.

Oh, I found this guy, who you may remember from Morrowind and Oblivion: M'aiq the Liar
I just finished the main quest of Skyrim at level 20.

Gertrude Bonetalk, aka the Supreme Necromancer in his later years, has began his quest in Skyrim. Playing mostly good until I meet the Dark Brotherhood. I think he'll fall off the horse then.
Where the hell is Reyda's corpse, she is not in the dungeon on the island whre she supposedly went. And I can't google any real answer either. I wish the Miscellaneous quest log was more specific/provided more info than only "find this", "go there", "meet this person", I'm pretty sure that I will forget why I even have half of these quests and will have no idea how to complete them.

Another thing, I got a bounty note for a bandit leader at Nilheim close to Ivarstead, but when I went there, there were only Guards, totally peaceful. I'm like wtf, then I found a video on youtube where the player killed one of the guards and the quest was completed.... I then massacred all the guards at Nilheim and the quest was completed too. No bounty, no crime, no murder....

I'm pretty sure the guards there shouldn't really be guards, but bandits. No mention of it in the game though, and when you attack them, they just stand there, they don't even fight back. Probably some oversight from Bethesda (no wonder in such a huge game).

Also, I got a quest in the dungeon on the island east of Ivarstead, after slaying some boss there, that says "investigate the cryptic message", and when I press Show on map, it keeps pointing to the dungeon, but I have cleared it all, and have no idea what cryptic message it refers to. Oh well, will probably end up with a few unsolved quests.

Turn on your quest marker and follow it. Reyda being in the dungeon was just a rumor, she's actually at the bottom of the river southeast of Ivarstead. After you get the cryptic message, go to the very first room of the dungeon - Geirund's Hall, i think - and read the book on the body of the dead adventurer in the first room (Lost Legends). That'll open up the full-on quest. (I was confused, too.)

Also "some boss?" Holy shit, that guy destroyed me so many times. He's the cause for the only time I've cracked open the guide. Hell of a fight, with a great weapon drop, too.

Really? I <3 the mountains. Exploring them is so much fun, what with creepy little nooks and crannies everywhere. SORRY LUCKY LORENZ THANKS FOR THE LOOT

Dude, my L2 necromancer immediately followed Camilla down the path to Bleak Falls Barrow, killed her, reanimated her, killed her again, and then broke out of the Whiterun jail with all of her belongings without any quicksaving/quickloading.

I love The Elder Scrolls Vee.

I'm impressed just how huge the world is again, and this time it feels even more alive than in Oblivion. I feel the better models make the game so much more immersing as well. I really enjoy being part of the Companions guild as well because of the other members. The NPCs have much much better feel to them than in Oblivion.

I'm not a fan of the secret that the Companions guild's circle holds, though. :<

I'm pretty curious of what sort of classes people here are playing? I am dual wielding swords and use restoration and destruction with it. And I wear light armor. I lack any proper defense, but the restoration pretty much makes up for that. Still looking forward making the destruction spells more useful for my class, though.

At some point I'd like to create as evil caster character as possible, and another pure melee character, but well, it's already going to take hundreds of hours to finish playing my first one.

ps. there are too many beautiful women to marry. At least in Whiterun. Then again, that is the only city I've fully discovered so far.

pps. the aurora borealis give this game a finishing touch

When I turn on the quest marker, literally nothing happens, only on the main map it kinda points to the SE of Ivarstead, where the bridge to the town is. I explored under the bridge, close to the bridge, I swam through like half the "lake" around the island, and the only thing I found were a few slaughterfish eggs. I think my game is bugged, or I am REALLY missing something.

Anyways, thanks for the advice on the Geirund's Hall, I didn't notice the dead adventurer right before the hole down. Thanks.

MOUNTAINS!

I usually just want to jump off them after I get to some destination in a quest. That's only if I type in tgm first.

So I'm not the only one whose eye Ysolda has caught. Seems she's popular. I may still stay single a bit longer though, so I can enjoy the priviliges it has to offer, like staring at Starsung's cleavage while listening to her songs a few more times before leaving Ivarstead, whenever I go there.

Does anyone's characters have strange habits or personal traits? My redguard spellblade collects skulls. He's also somewhat honourable and does not approve of stealing, killing innocents and such. Though he may not be so safe to be around with if you get on his nerves.

I have literally fought Thalmor using the "Come At Me Bro" technique where they tell me to back off and instead I draw my weapon and get right in their face. Sometimes, but not always, after several minutes of awkwardness, they attack me, and I can kill them without it being a crime. (Maybe it isn't a crime if you assault them outright; I don't know.)

SOLITUDE IS AMAZING...my favorite city so far, but also only the SECOND hub city I've visited...it's hard to imagine anything outdoing it.

I too have found M'aiq, but he had nothing funny to say, sadly, and he didn't run away really fast like in Oblivion.

I can't believe how high leveled some people are. My play-style is kind of subconsciously designed to keep my level below 20 for as long as possible, even though it's really easy to level up in this game, simply because I had an incentive for doing this in both Morrowind and Oblivion--in Morrowind, it made the game too easy, and in Oblivion, it made the game too hard.

Levels seem to be different in this game, though; doesn't seem possible to have anything up to 100 before Level 30, unless I'm missing something.

Happy, you and I apparently have the same taste in imaginary women...man I feel sad and pathetic saying that.

I roleplay with literally all of my characters, and have in every Elder Scrolls game.

I need to stop reading this thread, it's getting really spoilery. Too much I haven't done!

I find I have addict behavior when I play this game...like this kind of paranoid obsession while playing it that something will arise to force me to not play it.

I don't think it's a crime, but maybe I just didn't get caught. When I was doing a quest to rescue a Thalmor prisoner I offered to do so by peaceful means. When the Thalmor guard said I needed Imperial authorization, I decided it was more efficient to sneak in and slit all of their throats.
I encountered the Thalmor once. From what I heard in-game, they are exactly the type of people I wouldn't like.... Met them while they were escorting a prisoner, saying "GTFO, none of your business". So I set the prisoner free and killed them all. My dark elf sword/magic hybrid is like that. For all I know he could have murdered 50 children and they were going to execute him... oh well.

Anyways, for people playing Skyrim on PC, how can you get over the horrible consolized controls/UI.... After playing it on PS3, even if my PC can run it and it would make aiming with spells/bows easier, I will still probably stick to my PS3, simply because the PC version feels really crappy.

Though the FPS on the PS3 gets choppy at times, and the PC obviously has better graphics.... anyone else experiencing some FPS drops on the PS3?
The Wolf Queen really gave me hell. Maybe if I'd had some resistance to shock I wouldn't have had to pause every minute to eat like 90 carrots at a time.

edit: you can marry Ysolda? Nice! I liked her the moment I met her. But how to win a fight with a mammoth...,

This game is so addictive man, had a day off yesterday so I decided to start my new game.. 2.30 am I was still playing it. Tired as hell right now and very willing to play more.

Beautiful looking game to, and the better third person is great. Ive only fought one dragon and been doing pretty much the whole time side quests because there is just so many of them! Joined the companions though, had a few fist fights in bars, so far I'm loving this game more so than I did Oblivion and immediately didn't regret buying this over Assassin's Creed Revelations.
