Touch Encounter Update




After playing a lot of Dragon Quest XI this year I’ve kind of fallen in love with touch encounters. So I decided to make the shift from random encounters to touch encounters!

There’s different random sets of enemies that can show up anytime you enter the map, as well as one to three or so monster parties within each onscreen enemy. This also gives me the chance to buff some previously weaker enemies like the Pose, but also allow players to avoid them if they don’t want to deal with them. I’ve honestly been enjoying giving the monsters more personality with how they animate and what patterns they move in, definitely taking some Mother 3 inspiration with that Dragon Quest.

I’ve also updated the battle theme and the victory theme which are both now composed by GrandMasterBox.
