This is a simple walkthrough of how to complete the demo with the minimum effort, ignoring all the optional side quests and activities.

<Prologue: My Dear Friend>
Silbermond Convent

Exit classroom by talking to the student near the door. She will move out of the way.
Go all the way to the bottom left, a student will approach you and tell you to help someone in the ladies’ toilet.
Talk to the unconscious girl in the ladies’ toilet. You will be beaten up by a group of students.
Someone will try to talk to you when you try to leave the room.

This will ensure Karys starts with the Platinum Habit, which gives her the best base stats, and the best ending for the game.

Going home

Go all the way up until you see a man.


<Chapter 1: The Ametarashi Federation>
Togawa

Leave the pier. A Ronin will challenge you to a fight. Defeat him then go south.
Find the Bilonian Consulate. Building right of the inn. The door will be locked.
Go to the inn. You will find a drunk girl called Helga. Talk to her.
Go back to the consulate.

Defeat the Kappa Daimon. Helga will tell you to empty your deposit box.
Go to the next room at the top. 2nd cabinet from the left. Slide open the door to reveal the deposit boxes then interact. Choose Karys Sana Merkel then enter code 10010010 to open.
You will receive 20000 Gin.
Speak to Helga to get your Diplomatic Pass.

Go back to the inn and speak to the innkeeper to get a room.
The room is at the end of the corridor to the left.
Save to play a cutscene.
Risa becomes unwell. Go back to the room to check on her.
The landlady will tell you to speak to Satsuki, the doctor.
Go to the Shrine at the top of Togawa to find Satsuki. Go back to Risa with Satsuki.
Satsuki will tell you about the foreign priestess in Akamori to the east.
Choose the party member who will stay behind to look after Risa.
Resupply at the stores before leaving Togawa at the bottom.

Sora Caves

After leaving Togawa, go east to the Sora caves. Note: The on-screen compass is tilted so north isn’t up.
Enter the Sora Caves. It is pretty much a linear dungeon save for one side room so you won’t get lost.
Defeat the Mushroom Daimon to get out. Avoid using lightning attack since it regenerates its health.
Continue east to get to a village called Toji.

Toji

Find the inn (at the centre of Toji), speak to the innkeeper then save in the room to continue.
Exit the inn, then speak to the 2 people standing around the unconscious old man.
He will tell you about a demon attacking people at night and a lady being a witness to the attacks.
The lady lives in the house south of the inn.
Go to her house. You will meet the lady’s carer. Speak to the lady.
Climb down the well found at the bottom of Toji.

Well (Underground cavern)

Make your way down then go right pass the jelly fish. Continue right then up on the next area.
The rest is a straight path until you get to the save point.
Enter the door to confront the Neck Daimon.
You need to find all the key items before you are allowed to exit the room via the ladder.
Steel Drum from the Japanese doll.
Unreadable Letter from the stove.
Dial Lockbox from the half-eaten corpse.
Speak to the lady then exit up the ladder.
You will be back at the lady’s house. She will give you a warp stone which allows you to fast travel between shrines. Toji Shrine is located at the top of the hill.

Leaving Toji

Go to the bottom right of Toji to find a bear blocking the path. Speak to the old man who was unconscious before. He will tell you to get his flute from the shrine.
Go to the shrine north of Toji by going up the steps. Speak to Mikako to get the flute back.
Use the flute on the bear to wake it up. Defeat it and it will go away.
Leave Toji using the unblocked path. You will meet the Ronin again. This time, he has brought a “friend” with him. Defeat him to continue.


<Chapter 2: To A Far Away Time>
Shiroseki Fort

Go north west to get to Shiroseki Fort. Enter the garrison.
Save and resupply before exiting at the top. Akamori will be in front of you.
Defeat the Yari Ashigaru at the entrance to Akamori.
Push away the barrels to reveal a yellow orb. Pick up the orb then throw it in the gatehouse on the left to deactivate the barrier.

Akamori

In the next area, you need to pick up the orbs, red, yellow and blue, then throw it onto the seals at the top, matching the colours to deactivate the barrier.

In the 2nd area, there are 2 seals, purple and orange. There will be no purple or orange orbs. Instead you need to throw in the correct orbs that will make those colours when you mix them.
Blue + Red = Purple.
Red + Yellow = Orange.
So in this arrangement: Blue, Red, Yellow.
The barrier will deactivate when the orbs are in place.

In the 3rd area, save before confronting the Daimon Lord. You will also meet the priestess.
She will ask you questions to test your character.
Correct answers: No, No, Yes, Yes.
If you answer incorrectly, she will leave and you will be defeated by the Daimon Lord.
You need her to survive.

After defeating the Daimon Lord, the priestess (Freyja) will tell you to follow her into the portal.

Unknown Location

You will be in a strange room with a portal.
After the conversation with Freyja, head south. You will see a force field.
Go right along the corridor of portals.
Interact with the panel at the top to switch off the force field. This leads to a large area.

Make your way up to the highest level to get to the elevator door.
You need to touch all the panels to open the elevator door.
Go up to the top floor in the elevator.
A cut scene will play.
Exit Monument A onto the world map.

Eos, 2000 years into the future.

You need to get to the Space Elevator but the most direct route is blocked by a wide river.
Navigate towards the west (use compass as guide).
Then down along the western coast of the continent until you get to Monument X.
Only move during the day so you can avoid the enemies.
These enemies are beatable but reward little in loot and xp.

Monument X

Head inside Monument X and interact with the computer on the right.
It will say not enough memory.
You need to find 10 memory modules in the junkyard (outside).
Go back to the computer and select force field, off.
The force field with be deactivated in the south of Monument X.

Continue along the western coast as far down as possible then head north through a crack in the mountains to get to the bridge along the Chasm of Devils.
This leads to the Xargon Magma Plains.

Xargon Magma Plains

In this area, you need to collect the human skulls then offer them to the statues to get blood tokens.
Use these tokens to create a bridge to the next area.
There are 4 special red skulls in different areas. You need these to build the 4 parts of the main bridge in the north.
Once you cross the long bridge, you are one step from the next boss: The Daimon Lady.
Defeat the Daimon Lady and her ghouls.


<Chapter 3: A New Future for Mankind>
Space Elevator

Leave the Xargon Magma Plains and head west toward the Space Elevator.
In the cutscene, show all the items to Freyja to continue.
Cross the bridge and enter the Space Elevator building.

Interact with the last robot and do the following: Purge bad memory, Defensive Mode, Off, Disconnect. Then try booting up.
The robot will wake up and help you deactivate the barrier.

In the next area, interact with the ring. It will say data encrypted. The robot will help you by giving you a picture. (See gallery).
To deactivate each barrier, set the frequency to the sum of the adjacent rings. The picture will show all the numbers that you need.
To turn off the triple barriers at the top, use the panel in the small room on the right.
Go to the next room to fight the Snake Daimon.

Step into the elevator to ascend to the Eos Space Platform.

Level 5

Exit the elevator room and go to the door in the top right.
There are 3 areas to go from here with a locked elevator to level 4. In each area, there is a key card, which you need to open the locked elevator.

Level 4

You can’t continue here without being detected. You need a disguise.
Select any of the spacesuits on the right except the last one. Exit area.
From here, there are 3 areas to go to again with a key card. But you need to defeat a Daimon Administrator for each one.
The elevator to level 3 is in the room on the top left.

Level 3

Go right until you get to a door. Enter.
(Point A) Go right until you see a little elevator. Go up then through the door. In this room is a key card.
Back down the elevator, head right and avoid the big Daimon spawn by using the elevators to go pass it from above. Continue right, then enter through the door into the next area.
Make your way to the top floor to get the 2nd key card.
Back track to (Point A). Go left this time until you get to the next door to another area.
This area will have the 3rd key card.
Get back to the main elevator to get to Level 2.

Level 2

Go through the door to enter the Cerebrum. Head up to get to the crossroads with the save point.
There are 3 areas from here, each one at the end has a door, which leads to a smaller room with a key card. Get all 3 then head back to the elevator to Level 1.

Level 1

Slide down and get to the 2 star switches at the bottom. Activate them to get to the adjacent platform on the right.
Continue down.

Next area, there are 3 sections. Each one, you need to find the correct star switch(es) to make the blocks disappear at the bottom so you can continue. Most of the switches are fake so find them all.

Finally, you will be in the throne room.
Destroy all the power nodes at the corners, then slide to the middle to get the Master Key Card.
Exit at the bottom to meet the Daimon Queen.
