The premise is simple: Three people have been found to have committed crimes against the fervorous state, as vessels of Sin. They are all sentenced to be cleaned of their Sin, and pushed off the side of a wall into the ocean depths below. Pick whoever you want to survive.

Created for the RPG Maker 31st Birthday: Release Something event.

Vessel of Sin is a game concept that I've had for a while, in which I use GLSL shaders in RPG Maker as well as a redesigned stats system. The premise is also simpler in that the characters are replaceable, in that all of them can learn anything, equip anything, with the only difference being their stats and how they grow.

Features:
+ No more attack, defence, magic stats - it's been replaced with a rewritten Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Armour system instead!
+ Procedurally generated loot! Find a Sword that gives Dexterity and Critical Hit ratio, a Bow with Intelligence and Mana Regen, or a Wand that gives you a powerful spell in battle!
+ Anyone can equip anything! Have a Mage with a Bow or a Warrior with a Wand!
+ Avoidable random encounters!
+ No parties! You're going to die alone.
+ Passive health regeneration as an anti-frustration mechanic.
- It's super short, took me 30 minutes to beat. It's just a concept to get across the idea I want to make.
- Definitely not a 10/10.

Custom Plugins Released

As part of my work on Vessel of Sin, I coded a handful of plugins to make my life easier. After completing that work, submitting my build, just finishing everything, I decided that I might as well also clean up, separate, and release all the custom code that I wrote for the game, just in case anyone else needs them.

Interesting game! It has a rather cool creepy atmosphere and graphics, anyway I guess I need to grind a bit since the crypt guardian is giving me a hard time, but I'm sure I will defeat him soon!

Oh yeah, it takes a little bit of grinding to beat him, but if you grind before the town, you won't get as good loot as you can theoretically get inside the church basement. Yes- the place where you fight enemies changes what kind of loot you can get, this is why the game is slightly more generous with loot in the basement than at the start.

I do wish I had more time to clean up and fill out this, because it could be longer, thicker, cleaner, more balanced, with the overarching plot to be more than just a single line or two at the start, but I can't find the time for it right now.
