Rejection - An RMN Birthday Game

What is Rejection? Well it's a game made for RMN 14th Birthday!
Oh yes! It's RMN 14th birthday, and the RMN World is in danger... once AGAIN!
But this time the problem is that Pudding, the renowned developer of games like "The Game with No Name" has disappeared while he was working on a game for OzzyTheFourteen (play Acceptance to learn more about him. Serously, do that, because I did!). So our hero collect his friends Delsoon and Mirakulous (and later also Wakame) to form a rescue party.

And this is how this little big adventure begins, a short journey (took me 30 minute to complete, not a lot but not too little time!) about furious combat encounters, angst and pizza!


How about NO?

The game is divided into two parts: the first is mainly exploration, collecting items and talking to RMK.net people. Expect lots of humorous dialogues and interactions, especially if you are part of the community, since this is a communit game made for the 14th birthday... of the community (doh!)!
The second part instead consist in a linear dungeon with some fast and furious combat encounters where you have to use the various skills of the heroes:

- OzzyTheFourteen is a master card player with many attacks and special abilities.
- Delsoon is the typical healer.
- Mirakulous is a bard since when he plays he can buff allies... and in some cases even enemies! Only his companions can make him stop playing songs mid way!
- Wakame is a decent attacker, with some poweful attacks and thieving skills!

I was suprised because despite the sylliness of the combat encounters, well they need to be taken seriously! Especially the first, when you have only three characters, you need to select the attacks carefully to counterattack the enemy abilities! Also the next encounters will need some strategy, but with four characters (and with two of them able to resurrect dead characters) it will be a little easier, considering also that you can save anytime and the party is autocatically healed after each combat (but you have little to no consumables available! Helppp!).


Oh no! It's time for DOGGO DANCE!

Enemies go from cute doggos to pretty anime girls, but as I said before, do not underestimate them! Luckily the final combat can be won in three rounds only but I won't tell you more because it's so spectacular that it must be experienced to earn one of the most awesome endings ever seen!

Ok, ok but this is not a game about combat only, this is a game about friendship, love and pizza of course! Yessssss, one of the activities of the game, if not the main activity, is looking for 14 (hey it's as many as the Rmk years!) pizzas hidden on a single map. Why? Well, because you can earn spinach in exchange for them if you... nah I won't explain, play the game and see what happens! No, really this is a game about talking to people, interacting with things (there are few maps, really but each single interaction or dialogue is funny, so DO NOT miss them!), collecting clues and watching what happens next! This is what I call entertainment!


One of the best parts of the game (together with the ending that I will not show for obvious reasons!)... really!


It's the Final Verdict
A solid entry for this 14th Birthday event that perfectly fits the theme of the contest AND is also a pleasure to play due to the funny things and situation. Obviuosly if you know the context and the characters involved it will be 100% more funny, in any case the use of memes, funny music and sounds, Jojo and Belle Delphine references makes the game enjoyable even if you don't know the heroes (but seriusly, at leasy play Detective Waka, Awe vs Ozzy and Acceptance before this and you will enjoy it immensely, trust me!).

It's cute, it's fun, it's a simple little fun game made in a really short time that provides big fun... and no, there is no much sense telling more, ok I just wish it was longer, but who knows, maybe there will be a sequel. Yeah, maybe.
In the meantime if you are here there is a good probability you know the people of this site, and in this case it's 100% probable that you will enjoy this game!
