Towelket One More Time (タオルケットをもう一度）is a free Earthbound inspired JRPG made by Kanao (Kanashimi Hocchikisu) in the year of 2009.
Synopsys:
While moving to his new home with his parents, our hero Moochasu, who is in the back of a truck, falls asleep in a cardboard box and is thrown out into the sea. The current takes him to a mysterious island where he meets three girls, but his troubles don’t end there – it turns out that all four are forced move in 4 directions like robots, because they have been subjected to the mysterious “curse of the curves”…
Towelket: One More Time is a japanese series of free indie RPG games made on RPG Maker 2000 by Kanao, first released in 2008. It features cute graphics mixed with a strange, fantasy-ish atmosphere akin to Earthbound; although with occasional guro and dirty jokes, giving it a charming unevenness. Most of the main games involve aliens invading the world and attempting to harm humans, with the main party being tasked with saving the earth.
Correct game's release order is: 3, 2, 1, 6, 4, Fury etc. (the rest is untranslated yet).
Important: this game wasn't made by us (Patchy Illusion Team) and ppu (the main translator)! The developer allowed the games translation, however.
Warnings:
The game contains: violence, blood, gore, bodyhorror.

No, it’s actually the last released out of the three games on here despite the numbering! It’s also the only one I’ve tried so far lol.
Is the game bugged by any chance? I'm stuck in the starting island where you have to build the raft. There's a path leading upwards but there aren't any transfer events on it that take me to a different map.

Ooook... cool! so I guess they are in the reverse order? Or maybe they are totally different separated stories? Will try another one then

You need to talk to all the girls first, and then check the raft (I think), then you and Conchelle should go find the engine. Basically, check everything you can, the game is a bit more convoluted in terms of exploration than the others (besides Tk4).
Also, the game can contain some minor bugs (as most of Kanao's titles usually do), but none of them is a gamebreaking one.
