Blue is a short adventure game where you play a detective named Blue who is attempting to catch a data thief in cyberspace. In this universe cyberspace is a finite world complete with real estate costs and bad neighborhoods. When the crime is reported the area gets locked down so everyone logged on nearby becomes trapped in cyberspace until you manage to sort through the crime. Every character is identified by a specific color which serves as their name and identifies a part of their personality. It's a really intuitive way to keep track of clues relating to each person without having to memorize faces or names, which is especially important in a game this short. The story itself is fairly interesting, not obvious enough to pick up the culprit immediately but easy enough that you'll solve the case in a few minutes without having to think too hard. There are a few bits of awkward dialogue but for the most part the story is well written.

This is the only screen in the game.

You explore the world using simple Walk and Talk actions, though aside from one very specific instance Talk is the only command you're actually required to use. There is also a Use command which can be utilized to access the information terminal, but since the Talk command also activates it you don't really need it at all. Attack and Release are not used for anything and you can't even select them. Basic gameplay consists of you wandering around talking to people picking up clues and revisiting old suspects with new information until people have revealed enough to solve the case.

My only real complaint with this game it is basically lacking any kind of interactivity. You walk around and talk to people and your character takes over, asking the right questions and picking up clues while you're just along for the ride. Even at the end you don't have a chance to pick the culprit, your character just puts the clues together on their own and arrests them the moment you talk to them.

Overall though it's a pretty interesting adventure, even though it only lasts about 5 minutes. If you bothered to read this review to the end you might as well go download it since it will take you slightly longer to play than it took you to read my opinion on it. Hopefully there's a sequel in the works as I think this game's universe has a lot of potential.
