I got told off by Chaos that testplay/working on my game was a bit of a not-so-smart thing to do given that my system wasn't finished :D ( Me = (9) Ball)
So I knuckled down, found some scripts, cried over RGSS some more and my failure to grasp the entire concept (after reading a tutorial for the 5th time). I then mustered up my pride, and, holy crap, asked for help.
Evil: Say it!
The person I PM'd, Kread-EX, agreed to help me out ;w; I was so happy, and he's basically fixed up the battle HUD entirely.
Evil: No the other thing.
Unfortunately, since I have Materia, Limit Breaks will never work in the Cosplay Crisis engine.
Evil: WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!
Wait, WHAT?!
YES! I found a Limit Break script that works with the Cosplay Crisis engine. It's an edit of KGC's Limit Break, and the edit meant that it's working with materia. KGC's LB didn't work before. It does now.

LIMIT BREAKS ARE NOT MEANT TO MAKE THE GAME EASY. THEY ARE YOUR LAST-MINUTE DESPERATE KILL ATTACKS.
It takes a fair bit to fill up the limit bar. If you're expecting a difficulty where you probably won't see the game over screen more than once or twice, THINK AGAIN.
In any case I've deleted all of the old battle screens and I'll add new ones soon. I'm thinking about updating the demo, too, with the new system, proper dead graphics, a shadow under Zane, fixed fences, etc.
BUT I might not, since I'm up to the main stretch of the game, finding and defeating the Keycard holders and then scaling Omniax Tower.
I finally wrote a plan for that out, too. I've been meaning to get around to it, heh :/.
