The song I was listening too while drawing, in case anyone is curious. Yes this is a messy piece but I wanted it done before the end of tonight. I started around 8:30 or so, so that's not too bad (finished it about 10:30)
Could be called a speed paint except it wasn't. I fiddled and fucked around a bit too. Especially with that stupid background. (not the focus people).

As to why that song, exactly...this was pretty much the last day of somewhat normalcy for these guys. Sure, they've been part-time mercenaries the entire time they've been in Year 12 (UK/AUS school system since it's the only one I know :X) but after graduation it was full-time mercenary work from then on.
I altered the school system a bit in CC so that this is in November, but their school year is no where near as strenous as most final years. Like it would matter to Kumo and Levi anyway. I'm deviating away from the point, but the reason that song was appropriate was that it feels very sad, reminiscent. Kumo and Levi never get normal lives back. That's why it's sad.
I get way too attached to things. :P
