Those dark sections at the base of the cliffs - Shadow or water? I can't quite tell.

Other than that little niggling point, a very nice map. Not exactly beautiful (it's attractive, but austere), but quite nice. I'm half wishing I could go there in person.

It's quite nice! The darker sections is water, I'm almost positive.

not water, just lower sections of the ground. There will be water in other areas of Garovo Pass however, just not this section.

Looks great: Reminds me of the hills that surround the Serengeti.

Zoomed it out, it looks busy enough. How does it look zoomed in, though? I have a feeling it might be a bit empty, no?

It may look empty at first when zoomed in when playing it. However, with the moving monster parties, the various butterflies, insects, flying birds and (when its storming) random lightning strikes, I assure you, it's a busy place. ;)

I love the mapping, especially the size. I will quickly grow to hate it if these areas are filled with random battle encounters. You've been warned. :p
