Snake, Game Over
(Before I begin, I must say I did not finish this game or wrote down pre-review notes. This is strictly from memory.)
General: Metal Gear Solid: LoL gives you control of a character named, Snake. The game begins rather nicely, with a impressive introduction. However, that was one of the few things that impressed me about Metal Gear Solid: LoL. Which is quite disappointing because I liked the look of the game when I first saw it. The biggest problem I had with this game was gameplay. It didn't lack gameplay, it just wasn't balanced.
As Fallen-Griever once said, "Basically, in this game, the computer is a cheating bastard."
(Based on a scale of 1 - 5, 1 being worst ~ 5 being best)
Story: 2.5/5 The story progressed smoothly. I never asked myself what to do or where to go. Directions were pretty straight forward. Tips and hints guide the player through most of the beginning parts. The dialogue was a little iffy. There were a few spelling mistakes but overall, the story was decent and well-worth enjoying.
Graphics: 3/5 The graphics were my favorite part of the game. The areas/maps weren't over crowded and the definitely didn't lack detail. The areas/maps were easy to maneuver. I also enjoyed the some-what-top-view. It set the game's atmosphere I believe with all the sneaking around and having to "stealth-kill" guards, which lacked.
Music: 2.5/5 The music and sound effects were another thing I liked about the game. This area didn't jump out at me but it was pleasant to listen to. On top of this, the sound effects were great as well. Overall, the music area of the game felt very mature.
Other: 2/5 Other aspects of this game lacked. For example, the gameplay. It was horrible. Over and over, I found it difficult to sneak past the guards or try to "stealth-kill" them, which one would think that stealth-kills would work and be very balanced and for the most part, fun. However, this wasn't the case. Although, I did like sneaking around, trying to kill those guards were a pain, especially once they sound the alarm.
(Depending on your type of game, this could be a fun one. Don't play for the stealth-kills!)
Final Words: Metal Gear Solid: Lunacy of Legion is worth giving a try, only if you're interested in the graphics or story. The gameplay is fairly unbalanced. Most of the guards could shoot me through walls, rocks, and other objects that they shouldn't be able to. The gameplay could be improved with more than running around to attempt and fail at killing guards. I saw a lot of the "Game Over" screen.
Final Score: 2.5/5

Thanks for the review although it seems the game barely survived it.
I can agree that the current release of the game at this point is poorly balanced.
Stealth kills are most hard to execute and the shooting-through-walls is also unacceptable.
The game becomes quite ruthless once you're discovered.
I've also heard before that the game lacks direction, that you most of the time don't know what to do.
Please stay tuned with the updates since there soon will be an improved version out that I hope will mend what went wrong.

I don't like how you divided this one up. In a game that's about gameplay(as opposed to, say, a visual novel), you give gameplay 3 sentences under the category other?
well...there is a stealth killing method i stumbled upon. and it's where you're in your box and if you're in plain view of the guard they will check the box. if you have your taser ready you can actually tase the guard before he alerts the others then you can proceed to kill him.
but yeah though even though it generally lacks on the stealthy kills you can still use this method and get by, which i don't mind lol

If you knife them three times out of their field of vision it kills them but they have to be in quick succession or you they will catch you.
You people make it sound like none of you have gotten the silencer for the gun, which makes it considerably easier to "stealth kill" guards. Only problem is that you get it too late, and that you can even avoid finding if you don't explore thoroughly enough.

woah buddy let's be friends :P and yeah the silencer is definitely an option but i just don't use it as much as the box/taser combination
yeah and i don't hate you or anything since reviews are generally a summary of your personal experience so you're definitely entitled to say whatever you want :P it's just that it grinds my gears when people say that there are like no stealth kill methods lol. but yeah, again this doesn't mean that i dislike you so let's be friends haha
