The story so far...

Act 1: The Gathering

Fifty years after the defeat of the tyrant god, Set, the world of Rie rests in a state of idle peace. However, things are not as peaceful as they seem. A man who calls himself the Master of Souls has made a bargain with a demon lord Eivion - one thousand human souls in exchange for demonic immortality and overwhelming power. This prophecy has set itself in motion, ticking down soul by soul. Now the end is near. And where are the only six people in the world who have the capability to stop the Master of Souls before the world is lost forever? They are each being slowly lured to the CIty of Tar' Jahri, where they will be gathered together unaware of their fates.

Join Aeon and his allies and enemies as they head toward Tar' Jahri, with one question tugging on the back of their minds

Who or what is the Master of Souls?

Act 2: The Suffering

The Master of Souls has begun to capture the world of Rie. Slowly, but surely, the great nations of the world have fallen to him: The frozen kingdom of Ineldal; the Faerie Land of Lenria, the desert city of Septia, and the jungles of Tar' Jahri have all been destroyed, now all that stands in his path to destroy the Gods themselves is the capital city of Pendonia. And where are the heroes who are destined to stop him? They are desperately searching for an escape from the underworld.

Help Aeon and his band of adventurers escape from the underworld, even when faced with terrible perils such as a plague of Basalisks, a cursed orb of power, and an ancient sorcerer, bent on destroying mortals.

Act 3: The Ending
After an impossible escape from their prison, Aeon and his allies return to the surface world only to find their homes in ruin. Thrusen's devastating war has consumed nearly all the kingdoms of Rie leaving a small rebel army in Pendonia. The time has come for the chosen ones to start fighting back. Will the heroes free the world's kingdoms and topple this dictator, or will the world fall to darkness in his evil grip?

Play as Aeon, Lidya, Christina, and many others in the final chapter of their adventure as they fight against the world itself to liberate millions of innocent people. But just what is the Master of Souls' final plan? And is it too late to stop him?

The Real Release

So, for real this time: let's talk about the full game.
Due to a couple of factors the game obviously was not in shape for release four months ago. It was a combination of a busy life, lots of bugs, testers having difficulty, and my lack of internet connection. But that's behind us now!
Fortunately, we've been able to exceed the release date (October), and instead are releasing the third and final act of the Master of Souls now!
As I mentioned before in the other blog, the game consists (all three acts in total) of a solid 20-30 hours of gameplay, 50+ quests, and 11 playable characters (not all at the same time). The final act will likely be released sometime today or tomorrow.
One last little tidbit of food for thought, because of all of the recent trouble with the game some of the areas were tested less vigorously than others. This means that essentially at the end of the game, expect a few more bugs. I doubt there will be too many, but if you find a bug PLEASE post it here on this blog. I'll deal with it as soon as I can.

Some final words? I guess I'd like to just thank the community here for all of the support and understanding that I've received over the course of this ridiculously long project. RMN really is a great place and a great community. As always, I hope that you all enjoy the game!

What level does Thrusen need to be to defeat Axel and Artys? Thrusen is at level 14 and they destroy him in one turn. Any tips?

NM, managed to do it, but had to grind to level up to 15 and learn decimate.
Okay I think I need help - first when I kill the man in the house and get the assasin's way quest in journal if I click on it to read - it comes up with - "unable to find file graphics/characters/jungle guy/sithjester" and then the game is over- is this a bug - also when I get Thrusen I get a blue mage book but cannot use it as he says he needs to level up - I got him to level 31 but still cannot use book and when I rejoin all my party at the temple the book is now missing from my items list - another bug?
@pafpearl - Decimate is really the key to that fight, but if you're having difficulty with any of the boss fights, I recommend checking the Boss Fight guide pages, they are loaded with useful tips on how to deal with those bigger bosses.

@wybella - Hm, the assassins bug hasn't come up before, I'll look into that when I have some free time. I'll also deal with the Thrusen bug, in the early stages of the game it requires him to be at specific levels to learn spells (Levels 3, 6, and 9), but you aren't at a huge disadvantage if you forget to check the spell book. I'll fix that bug as well so that you can learn spells upon surpassing the level requirement :)
Hi I found the dragons at the top of Mt Freur but still cannot open the frozen door- can you help please
@wybella The key to the door can be obtained by curing the blindness of a man in Septia :) That quest involves finding the witch who cursed him and convincing her to undo the curse.
I have done that and the man has gone from Septia and I have spoken with the right dragon rider but still the door will not open= bug?
Also the elf quest still shows up in my journal even though I have done it
The elf quest is definitely a bug and a known one, but the door is new. It's most likely a bug, do you have any save filed before talking to the dragon rider? If so, try to open the door first. If not, PM me and well work this out :) this is going on our list of bugs to fix in the near future.
Any hint on where to find the goodies's caves - apparently there is a weapon's one and a spell one but I cannot find them - would like to do all the quests etc before finishing the game
I can post a guide with the locations to the Act II Goodie Caves if you'd like :)
There are no Act III Goodie Caves. Due to the lack of linear character aquisition, we decided to cut the caves because they really served no purpose - you would have to hunt them down all over again after obtaining a new character (especially the spell cave).
Would appreciate the location for them in act 11 thanks
Also where do I find Han Bloom - it says something about east of Perdonial Isle but where - thanks- btw - a great game
I'm glad you're enjoying the game :) The Han Bloom quest should bring you on a long journey to a series of locations.

After attempting to find him in Hardenburg you need to search
in Septia. There's another clue at the end of the quest to find a tenant for the woman's house. There is a note which directs you to Ineldal. Han Bloom himself can be found in the Death Mage Academy.

There isn't an enormous reward for this quest, it is more of a fun "treasure hunt" style game in order to explore the world.
Never did find the pastry chef in Hardenburg and now cannot find how to get the fairie diadem quest - did the queen fairy quest in Lenria but that is not the one - please help
This is a major bug: On the way to Hardenburg after finishing in Pendonia I accidently went the wrong way and wound up in the town where you light three torches as a signal to fight.(can't remember the town's name). I immediately tried to leave, but couldn't, I got the message saying we can't leave until we help rid the town of demons. I went inside the big building then came out again planning to try to leave again, but this time it was dark and the torches were lit. So I went back in, figuring I would tell the guy the torches were lit, and I would go out and fight the three demons and then I could leave. But then I got nervous that fighting might actually reset the game somehow to where I was right after that fight and since I had a few more hours invested I decided not to fight and instead loaded my last save which was back in East Pendonia.

Don't make this same mistake when you are heading to Hardenburgh!
PLEASE HELP - I am with Thrusen as the cave entrance where a number sequence has to be input. It will not take the number I keep getting "The words disappear".

This game is fantastice. Please help me continue.

TY
EDIT: I got it,i put in the numbers wrong.Nyx,do you need help?Yes.Like Nyx wrote, please help. Its been written about the 4 statues and the numbers on them .But i just cant get it right.I really want to continue playing but im thinking really wrong somwhere here because i cant get the numbers in order.EDIT 2 :Is James supposed to be with the others around Basilisk caves?
I took Daniel out of the party just before the fight with him and have James ,Aeon and Christina fight against him. When i read bossguide its no James at all there in act2
I cannot find the bloodstone that is supposed to be in a Basalisk cave. Any ideas?????

TY
:(
Nyx - The bloodstone isn't in the basilisk caves. You'll have more luck searching the caved in item store in the Dark Woods :)

kenlan - James is definitely not supposed to be in Act II (he does make a brief reappearance later). Which fight did you take Daniel out for? And how long have you had James in your party? Was he there since you first got him in Act I and he never left, or is something else going on?
