Back in 2008, The Adventures of Phalath was made as a mini-RPG game since its original couldn't have been achieved at that time. Now two years later, it's vision has finally been achieved.

Since the beginning of time in the world of Ctath, the Humans and Ekil: A race of demonic humans; have waged war with each other. The war continued on for almost 200 years with no end in sight. However, a traitor of the humans named Orsham allied himself with the Goblins in an effort to take down both sides in their weakened states. After attacked, the humans and Ekil quickly signed a truce and fought back against Orsham and his army. Like the previous war, there was no end in sight. Until the Ekil devised a plan which would require all their magic. They sent Orsham into another dimension and locking him in for the rest of eternity. The king of the Alliance took notice and fearing one day the Ekil may do the same to them, sent an attack and killing most of the Ekil and imprisoning some of the Lieutenants. Life eventually moved on and both the remaining Ekil and Alliance forgot about the imprisoned Lieutenants and moved on with their lives. However, darkness is returning...

Phalath is a mini real-time action adventure game. There is experience to be gained. No leveling up, just a simple fun short hack and slash game. The expected game time to complete is about 30 minutes to an hour to complete.

Boy, if anyone really enjoyed Legend of Zelda, this game should satisfy your craving :)

Hack and Slash, very good, why has this game never come up in my searches before?

If anyone disagrees, that ok, but I sure would like to know of a bunch of games like it :)
ridiculously hard. Or maybe I'm too suck. No way I could mash buttons faster than the computer. Instead of flinching when hit, enemies shrug it off and immediately retaliate if they were facing you (without being next to you). I guess this teaches me that chracters' hitboxes occupy their destination square before the sprite actually walks into that square. Ended up in a cave where some imp oneshotted me. RIP

EDIT: Managed to beat it by corner camping enemies. I'd say it's mandatory to know to do this if you want to beat the game. Even then, sometimes my hits dont register so I'm pretty sure rpgmaker is not good at making hack n slash type games. But this game is alright.
