Alright, I've uploaded the open-sourced final version of AAG. Pretty much, all the secrets have been revealed at this point (plus the battle system getting utterly broken'ed :D) so there's nothing else really left to hide. Now you can load it up in the editor and mess around. Be warned that this is about as bad as Kentona's Heroes Realm in terms of game and database load times. You'll see what I mean..
At this point, this is the final release of AAG. There's still some bad bugs mainly related to the battle system but there's no way I'm going back in there to figure them out now. Time to move on to other things~..
Speaking of other things, AAG's fandisc is coming along nicely. It shouldn't take me too long at this rate. It oughta be released sometime December with any luck. Some screens:
Now most importantly, if you would like a cameo in the fandisc, please let me know. What I need is the following:
1. A name
2. A character sprite
3. A short blurb, whatever you want to tell the world (of AAG players).
Anyone who's played YDS' Christmas/ Summer community projects will know what I'm talking about. It doesn't have to be you specifically. If you want your project's character to cameo, that's cool too (For example, instead of Nightblade, I could have Shadar from his project Demon Legacy)
If you don't want to provide a sprite, then I'll choose one for you from what I have, based on my interpretation of your digital persona >:D.
Edit:Edit 2:
Decided to throw together a gamepage with all related AAG videos. Also added another gamepage with some fanworks. If I've missed yours, please let me know!

You're going back to the regular top-down view? o_O I thought you said that was very difficult to work with!
Anyway, looking good. I will look forward to this. :)
Edit: Hm... I can't help but wonder about that "1/14" thing in the top-right corner of the first screenshot. What does that mean? Is it a fourteen-page menu?
(Also, are you going to put up ARPerson's post-postgame gamebreaking vid?)

Well it depends on what I'm trying to do. For the purpose of the fandisc, 3/4th view is easier to work with :)

Oh right, thanks for reminding me.
Does the sprite need to match the style of your sprites? I'd like to submit Cheska from Riot Grrrl so I would have to make a more detailed sprite if that was the case (due to Riot Grrrl having a massively over simplified sprite style). I don't mind doing that, i just wanna know before I start making one.
(I would rather submit Alexis from the original Sore Losers, if I am being honest, but all the character sprites in that game are Charas-Project sprites and I'd rather not submit one of those!)
Yeah, I'd rather it was more on the same level of detail as the other sprites, for consistency's sake. You can send me Alexis if you want. Most of the sprites will actually be Charas-Project sprites anyways :P.
Is the blurb part the dialogue they're going to have or are you going to derive the dialogue from the blurb?
I'd rather you give me the dialogue (What you want them to say in-game), but if not, I can think of something.
I didn't know that HR had set the standard for long load times...
Congratulations Kentona!
I'm actually interested in becoming a small cameo in the fandisc. However, my art skills are pretty terrible, so I don't believe I'll be able to conjure up one myself.
I noticed that you put the party's elemental resistances up on the main screen. Is that going to be a major factor when it comes to the challenges that we will face?
Also, what are you going to do about some of the stuff that made the main game a bit easy? Things like Breakdown fields, SPD Booster/Crush items, and Zero-Systems?

Don't worry, if you don't have a sprite, I'll just choose one from one of the stock NPC's. Just tell me what you want your character to say.

They won't factor any more heavily than they did in AAG. It's more just a reminder, as well as something to take up space on the main screen.

Remove all shops. :)
J-Man wouldn't mind bein' a cameo in a game. :3

:P
Okay.
Name: Jaymonius
Sprite <--- *points to avatar*
Short blurb... um... I have come from a world far away to see this world and its inhabitants.

Actually, do you have a top-view sprite? like in the 2nd screenshot in the blogpost. If not, I can use one of the stock NPC graphics.
I do, but I don't, so I'll have to make one now won't I? :p
EDIT: Actually, yeah, I don't think I'll be able to make one in short notice, work load has doubled due to christmas season. So its going to be harder to get a sprite going, so I think you can just use some random generated sprite or something.
