Version 1.24 - Minor Update

Yet another update to Episode Two is now available - just a few minor fixes and balance tweaks, though, so download at your discretion.

-Fixed a bug with Deirdre's weapon upgrade quest not starting.
-Many typos fixed.
-Q7 components should now appear more evenly in the higher Splices.
-High-level crafted weapons will no longer cost additional AP to use. (Note: NOT retroactive).
-Repeated Typelog text fragments will occur less often.
-Typelog text fragments should show up a little more often.
-Accuracy is now increased on attacks where the target is vulnerable. Accuracy all around has been increased slightly.

Thanks Deltree. Even though I didn't have much of a problem with accuracy (besides Ros for some reason), the update is greatly appreciated.

Polymorphic Hull Types
in this episode?

Also, I think I found a way to break the game (sorta), though I'm not sure if you want me to post it here or send you a PM, so I'll do it the safe route. However, this may have already occurred to you. To be continued in a PM...

Edit: I found a glitch in this version as well:

For some reason, the Added Effect for Damage III and Accuracy III won't show up for weapons gained by entering the blueprint code. When creating it from the components, these effects show up, but when you enter the blueprint code for them, the Added Effect slot is blank.
It doesn't look like you can find Polymorphic types, no. I have no idea why, you can get Complex shells and Supreme properties in Splice 4, but not Polymorphic types. I've been combing for Typelog fragments for, like, the past week, but the best I've gotten have been Integrated types. Deltree says that you're *supposed* to be able to get them, though, so I don't know why they aren't showing up.

Edit: Also, the components that do show up fluctuate wildly. I'm still getting Q3 items from green nodes in Splice 4, but they can give out anything as high as Q7. That's some pretty wide variance.

Edit 2: Aaaand scratch that, I just got a Polymorphic Hull Type. In Splice 4 of 9. Woo for wacky sequence-breaking balance issues?

They should definitely be showing with some frequency now (albeit the same chance as the other kinds).

I'll have to look at the added effect thing. I want to say that when you create it and get the code, the stat bonuses are built in to that weapon. I will have to test to confirm this.

I tried the same thing with Delay III this time and got the same sad result.

Also that's really weird, because I'm looking at the code and it's got handlers for all the possible effects and even adding the text to the description. Can you paste me your code so I can dissect it? Thanks.

I will be revamping part of the crafting process anyway next update (such as making the cost quality-based so later weapons are more valuable and to discourage save scumming.)

Edit: And here we go again...

I finally found a Polymorphic Systems Type for Chac's weapon upgrade, which gave him "A.X. Lightning III". I talked to him again shortly afterwards and he told me he needed a Whole Scanner Lens for the next upgrade. I gave Chac the lens, but "A.X. Lightning III" didn't change into "A.X. Lightning +.

I also discovered that if you keep talking to him, you can repeatedly give him Whole Scanner Lens', but his weapon won't upgrade. I've had his battle trust at 250 for a long while, so I don't know what's causing the problem.

Found another bug, though I think someone told you this one before.

I unlocked the "Skillionaire" merit for inflicting over 1 million damage. However, when I check my battle log, the number for damage dealt had rolled back to around. I should've checked it immediately, but when I did it said that I'd only inflicted about 140K damage. It really should be 1,140,000.

Yep, sounds like a limitation of RMVX variables. At least it still triggers!
