Picking Up the Pieces

So... after a long period of debate, I have decided to pick this project back up, and turn it into a real RPG instead of a rendition of my chemistry project (Which in some senses, it still is). I went through the first chunk of the game that was already completed and revamped everything, fixing the battles, enemies, items, weapons, characters, storyline, the whole nine yards. Now that I've adjusted the beginning to meet up with the rest of the game's standards, I have a question for all of you. Would you rather have a demo of the game with half an hour to 45 minutes of gameplay, 4 quests (Three of which are completed) and only a few areas to play through that would be out in a few days? Or would you rather wait a little longer and get between 1 to 2 hours of gameplay, with multiple characters and quests, and become immersed in the main storyline of the game?

On a side note, new screenshots will be coming later this week, hopefully. I'm going to be tied up for a few days, but after that I'll be plugging away on the game. So, stay tuned!

Good news! I always liked this game's idea.

Seeing as I never played the original, I can wait for the more fleshed-out version of the update. Though, really, I just want to see how "noble" those noble gases are...

Well, there was never an original version, this is the first demo for the game. However, I'm glad you seem excited for it! Don't worry, they are very noble...

Oh, so it was never released. I thought there was a playable version up at some point, or... nevermind. Moot point.

Yes! The game will live on!
Ha, glad you are looking forward to it Adon :) I'm almost finished with the last two side quests in the demo, then I'll finish the ending. If I focus on that (Instead of other projects) It should be done within a week.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a 30-45 mn demo, to have a (good) taste of the game before the long version, but it's really up to you : which do you think would best suit your game ?
I think at this point, I'm going to go with the slightly longer demo. It works out for everyone in a sense, it is still only a small amount of the game, and it is only more than 45 minutes if you complete many side quests. That way, if you're someone who just wants to get a quick feel for the game, you can avoid all the side quests and stick to the main storyline. However, if you want to fully complete the first section of the game (To the best of your ability) you can complete as many quests as you want to, out of the ones that are completable.
