The shape of the room doesn't really fit the CT standard. In CT, many rooms had more of a round shape to them. Try adding some of the diagonally shaped wall tiles, it might spruce up the look of the room.
Unless this room is meant to be large, and square, and the other rooms around the game are more like the original CT designs, then just ignore me. :D

Yeah my mapping skills aren't perfect, by any means. But this is intended to be a classroom in the Zeal Academy of the Arts, located on that particular island of Zeal you couldn't visit in the original game. It's actually constructed so that when you're in the center of the room, you can see everything in the room, then when you leave, the hallways are a little bit maze-like. This gives the player a hint of what's coming. The dungeons are VERY maze-like, because there aren't a thousand of them, but all the secret stuff we've hidden should make up for the difficulty. Most of the other places are mapped by TheMage, and they are beautiful!
I don't in any way expect this game to feel like Chrono Trigger, it's an RPG Maker game, but I think that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages regarding the differences in engines. My intent is for it to feel kind of like an updated gameboy or nes game from the early 90s that never came out in America, but actually came before Trigger. And I think as long as the story is as solid as we believe it is, and it's executed well, people will forget it's even a Chrono Trigger fan game, and hopefully just have some good old fashioned fun.

where are these diagonal wall tiles???
(serious question)
I refer you to Guardia Castle, Truce, Ioka, Porre, the Underwater Palace... etc.
Just because Enhasa and Kajar used square shaped rooms doesn't mean the entire game did.
