GAUGE BATTLE.

So after playing through a bit of a particular game that used the gauge-type interface for the RM2k3 DBS, I've become interested in utilizing it in Ghosts of the Arcanum. The main things that caught my attention about the use of the gauge-type interface in this game were the absence of the fight-auto-escape menu, and the absence of the Row command in your player characters' command menus. I'm pretty sure this is all the result of hacking, and because I'm more focused on creating a foundation for releasing a working demo, and ultimately a finished product, this may be something added to subsequent releases of the game. I'm not quite sure as to how I'd go by accomplishing this.. ..something to do with Power Maker 2003?
Aside from that I've almost finished the database, so that means a demo - if just a demo for testing purposes - should be arriving very soon. Also, I've added a page which explains a few terms used in the story.. I may add a few new screens and a more in-depth battle video, soon..

There are patches to remove the autofight menu as well as remove the row command(unless you're using those), AND a patch to display pictures in battle(This is is important to any complicated DBS system.)
But yes, you can just apply these patches to your game and you're good to go.

Really? Wow, I guess I've been out of the loop for quite awhile then.. Thanks. This actually opens up a ton of possibilities, but for now I'm just going to stick with finishing up a foundation for the project, and then go with slapping on extras later on. Are there any more significant patches out there that modify the engine? Custom start menus?
As in being able to skip the default title screen and make your own? Yep, that's possible too.
