A chain game, sent from person to person, each putting in their part of the epic story in their own style.

When two mercenaries accepted an escort job--thought to be a swift and easy-- they found themselves involved into a global conspiracy that would shake the very core of the earth.

Features
*New twist on the battle system: Each character is divided into 3 categories. Striker, Balance or Passive. Striker types regain MP in battle by attacking only. They'll gain 20 MP this way, and are usually more for saving up for a big attack.
Balance types regain 10 MP regardless of what command is used. Their skills tend to cost less but are not usually focused on having a big final attack to use.
Passive types regain 30 MP when you defend. They also start with the most MP in a battle and are Mage-types.

*Encounter Gauge which fills up as you fight encounters (which are seen on the map). Once filled, you can open up a special chest in the area.

*Party changing system

Fixed bugs and improvements

The game has been out for 3 weeks now and I think the responses for the game have been very positive, which I am happy for! We went ahead and fixed up some of the issues that we found players complaining about, either design wise or due to bugs. So if you get any lag in Capital city or Crossroads in your version, you may want to upgrade to this one.

There are other bug fixes as well and some changes in dialogue, though it doesn't change the entire plot around so it is not a mandatory upgrade.

Anyway, I am glad to have worked on this along with the team, and we thank you all for playing it!

I wasn't planning on it but hmm that is an interesting idea! OK I will try to set one up then. At least a secrets list.
Secrets would be awesome! This game is a little too hard for me I'm loving it but I keep dieing I think I have yet to get the hang of fighting. I've ground a bit but didn't seem to help much.
this one is freaking awsome. I was hopeing it would alot bigger but sadly it is not
I like this game. I'm trying out a lot of games right now and there's been a few where I don't even get past the intro. I think this game's intro would be better if it skipped the courtroom and dinner seen at the beginning. It's disorienting jumping between 3 groups of characters in the beginning when I have no idea what's going on. Starting off with the two mercenaries and Rise would be good.
I have to say when I saw those particular graphics I thought this would be droll and boring but the characters are so lively and the pace so fresh it's awesome! The Gem system is also highly interesting. Nice to see it's a chain game too! Such a rare concept but wonderful when it's put together right. ^_- Bravo to your team! Bravismo!

Thanks! Yeah we didn't think the game would be that involved so we didn't make any fancy chipsets for it. I do like Bahamut Lagoon stuff personally but yeah! I'll let the team know the game was appreciated!

Also, nearly 6000 downloads here. Cool, I wonder how to celebrate this.... (maybe by drowning self in cheesecake...)
Banana Cheesecake.

With whipped cream.

And a cherry on top.

Geez i grinded a lot but the green haired mercenary woman still wrecks me. The worst part is that i saved at a point before i got to her battle and now i can't go back to grind some more.

That's rough! I admit she's probably a roadblock for quite a few people, how do you approach the battle? I don't QUITE remember the strategy, I'll have to ask Jihaus but I think the order you kill the enemies in that fight makes a difference in how the battle will proceed... I don't necessarily think you need to gain more levels, but agh it's been a while so I will ask Jihaus about it!

Hey there, thanks for playing the game! I know it's been a long time but I wanted to respond anyway in case anyone else encounters issues with the boss.

Octavia has an enrage trigger when both of the heavy knights are defeated which makes her extremely fast and damaging. The enrage only occurs after both knights die, however, so the safest way to go about the battle is to take out one of the knights, then Octavia, then the last knight, as she will still be on the defensive in that situation. Alternatively, if you are tough enough or have the damage output, you can go straight for Octavia. As long as she isn't the last to fall you'll do fine.

Any expansions planned or sequels in developement?

Currently none, everyone involved in this project have been busy with their own projects / work / life / seeking out a good delicious pizza place that will deliver.

We thought about this idea for the future, and we did initially discuss ideas on what we could do and brainstormed a bit but honestly, we have a lot of our own projects going on so it might not be for a while. I had the idea too to remake this game with custom graphics, but again, lots of projects to work on. Perhaps in the future when the team is more free!
