There exists a most curious and powerful race in the world of Ospes, able to manipulate and alter matter itself.

Their numbers are few, and from the beginning they have lived as outcasts, perceived as a threat to the world and every living thing in it.

They are called Theolar.

Thymetians, the most dominant race on Ospes, have done all that they can to suppress the Theolar. For they, more than any, are afraid of them.

Most Theolar are content to live in hiding and have abandoned the use of their abilities in hopes they would be forgotten. But among them there is a small group, known as the
Andurim, who are unwilling to give up that part of themselves.

Their sole purpose is to provide the Thymetians and the rest of the world with a glimpse of their greatness, now long overshadowed by what else they are capable of…

"I've finished the game, and I have to say that I really enjoyed myself. I don't always keep the games, but this one is a must.
Thanks for all your hard work." - littlebro

"All in all, you have certainly set a standard for vx games. I can't think of one that actually gripped me, and especially like this one did...
At any rate, I'm just saying I loved the game. I can tell it had a huge amount of work placed into it." - demonlord5000

What users from rpgmakervx.net have said...

"Whoa. This game is amazing. I can't recall the last time I enjoyed a game, commercial or otherwise, this much. You've managed to create a world that pulls the player in,
makes him identify with teh characters and feel for them. A world that feels alive with lore and history. Every time I found one of the Nayrin relics...
I really felt I was discovering bits and pieces of an ancient civilization, scattered all over the world." - Jeffrey

If anyone wants to play arguably one of the best all around put-together RPGs available to RPG Maker VX, this is hereby on your must-do list.
- goldenguy

"I will say that I liked the message and it was a brilliant adventure while it lasted. The plot was tight, the characters convincing and the puzzles
were the best I've seen aside from Alundra. If you ever manifest another spectacular game, I'll be looking forward to it." - tom11

"Firstly you have a great imagination and a flair for writing, your game really drew me in and was a real "key-presser" right up until the final
scenes. Your game was also very well balanced in terms of available money, EXP, etc. The inclusion of your excellent (occasionally challenging)
puzzles and mini-games help to distract the player along the way. Also quite importantly the game runs practically bug free..." - matt-tribal

"Bloody fantastic RPG. Minigames, optional quests, math puzzles. Love it all." - vitrous

"...there's so much that can be done, and the story and adventure just keep taking new turns and twists...It's been a long time since I've played a
game that I have a hard time "setting down" after 2-3 hours, but this is doing that." - goldenguy

"...a brilliant game, you have clearly put a lot of thought into creating the world of Ospes and especially into its characters. I definitely
appreciate the humorous dialogue too." - matt-tribal

Canvas is Complete!

Five years and two children later, I have finished my second game. The download has been updated. The game should last around 15 hours or so depending on a few factors including puzzles and sidequests. I have included a full walkthrough and complete item guide with the download. If you need more detailed help than the walkthrough gives, please don't hesitate to ask. I love every kind of feedback, especially bug reports if you find any. Thank you very much to those who take the time to download Canvas and give it a shot.

" Every puzzle has a solution...even this one " ??? How do I solve this puzzle ???

Answer below...

The first puzzle you asked about needs all the switches hit to the left. The second puzzle you should press only the even numbered buttons.
Can anybody suggest another game just as wonderful as this game ??? I really enjoyed it :x :x :x !
This game is a work of art! The maker of this sure has a deep understanding of the spirit of Classical Japanese RPG... It sure brings back that nostalgic feel in a whole new way... you my friend should definitely work on your own completely original craft and I know what will come out of it will be great! Keep up the good work!
Hello game is great but I encountered a "bug" > In the beginning u get option to burn bushes....now i cant...why is that ?

Still game is AWESOME :)

@Fikusdg - They are probably different kinds of plants. Please take a close look at them and then let me know. Thank you for letting me know and for playing =).

@Joe9999 - That compliment made my day. Glad you're enjoying it, and I hope to hear back from you again as you progress further.
Yes there are the same bushes....for example in where u can go down the well (I think is second town when u get Brutal lady Val:P) on bottom u can see entrance but there is a bush, cant burn it i cant burn now any bush.. I dont know if anyone has the same problem or just me but does it affect my overall game and main quest ?

By the way Trux rox :) and Vellamik comments too :P

The bush you are referring to at the bottom of the well is different than the small dead trees that you can burn. You will eventually get the ability to deal with the other kind. If you ever see both kinds near each other, you'll notice the difference.
Finished the game, and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. Very enjoyable, nice storyline. I believe I've finished most of the puzzles and sidequests as well; some of them were quite hard (especially the buttons-in-void puzzle on the small island, that one may be a little too hard for casual players).

Note: the following opinions contain major spoilers!

However, I also have to say that I was disappointed by the ending. It kinda felt out of place. After all that work to chase down Balerus and he suddenly gets killed by some futuristic dude coming from another planet that wasn't even mentioned before? When the entire game had a fantasy setting? That was pretty anticlimactic IMO. At least you could have made a fight between Armegmus' party and Balerus before Vekros appears.
The final events in the ending were pretty confusing as well; the Theolar didn't solve any of their problems on Ospes. After the death of Balerus, why won't Thymetians hate Theolar even more? How can Armegmus and the others live in peace from there on? Those really felt like plot holes to me.

Other than that, I don't have any significant issues. Certainly one of the best indie RPGs I've played.

Sidenote: I would like some explanation on Naarxoth. What exactly is he/it? I first expected some Nayrin, but then I was surprised by his/its physical form. And what does his/its pre-fight conversation with Armegmus mean? Some more infos would be nice, I didn't quite catch that part.

@waterchainsawman - Thanks for playing Manifest and for taking the time to leave your thoughts. My response is in the spoiler below...

It seems like you might have skipped/rushed through a good portion of the text while you were playing, and might have missed some of the main points of the story as a result. The planet was mentioned throughout Matthiad's journal entries, and during both conversations between Balerus and your party (in prison and in the Azriad palace). I'm sorry you missed out on that. Also, Naarxoth was explained during the conversation between the Nayrin and your party, after you bring him the 8 keystones.

Thanks again for playing.
Thanks for the answer.

Note: major spoilers below!

What you said might be the case, but I don't think that's the main issue. My sentence about the planet was probably a bit misleading: I wasn't talking about the planet that 'wasn't mentioned'; I was talking about Vekros. I did read most of the entries and the conversation in Ordune, but the ending was a little too sudden of a change. The main antagonist of the story getting killed by some other endgame antagonist isn't the best idea in my opinion... There should have been at least a fight with Balerus. (also, what is Balerus' plan precisely? What I understood is that he wants to use Theolar to help him leave Ospes)

I still don't get how Thymetians will accept Theolar after Balerus' death. Do they know that Armegmus saved them? That would be the only explanation.

About Naarxoth: the conversation and the letter of Argyle do not explain much about the him/it. The Nayrin make it seem like some sort of demon lord, but what is his physical form supposed to represent? Some kind of 'inner demon' or 'evil side'?

Please use the spoiler tags for posts like that.

I left some things for you to interpret, as I believe a good story should. I'm curious...why did you feel there needed to be a fight with Balerus? Is it because that's how it's traditionally done?
I'm rather new to this website, so I don't know yet how to use spoiler tags :P
Until I figure that out, I'll use notes in bold.

Note: major spoilers below!

I think there should have been a fight with Balerus because he was supposed to be the main 'villain' in the story. Throughout the story, Balerus was constantly mentioned to be 'evil' towards Theolar, and he was the one that caused the whole journey of Armegmus. Vekros, despite being an interesting and realistic character, wasn't mentioned.

So, basically, I don't think Balerus should have been ‘gotten rid of’ so easily. From many conversations in the story, he was supposed to be a rather powerful spellcaster. The facts and the story itself set up a pretty nice boss fight, so I feel they are kinda wasted.

@waterchainsawman - You can click the eye with the red slash through it just above the text box you type in to hide text. Thank you for the ongoing feedback about the story.

@yasgar14 - Thanks for playing and for the feedback. I'll give you some help on that puzzle in the spoiler below.

I and E have the values of 1 and 7...I can't remember which is which, but you can look at the clue that says one of them is 7 times bigger than the other. Once you know those two values, you can substitute them in to the other equations. For example, if it says A + I = 9, and I = 7, then A must = 2. Let me know if you need more help.
great game but why do you have to make my party crawl when at world map lol.. worst part of the game for me, and they seem slower when at window mode...

Hi Frostii, thanks for playing Manifest. I'll give you some help in a spoiler below.

There are some rocks and footprints in the bottom right corner of the deserted village, Noor. Move them around a bit and you'll find what you're looking for =).

@Frostii - Congratulations on making it so far! That's excellent. As far as that ruins goes, it's hard to help someone through it, because I don't have the route/order memorized. It will rely on some trial and error, but I can tell you that the completed path will be up in the top right corner. You are talking about the ruin on the small island where it's raining, right?
