Summons can be leveled and can fuse with the hero! Lance has the aura of the fire summon on him.

Custom battle system

Along with dozens of other custom systems, the battle system algorithms are custom made by me. I have only used small pieces of the basic foundations of rpgmaker’s battle system, which has enabled me to create my own damage numbers. Heck! By doing this I have the best of both worlds!

You will see a lot of new stuff in the improved battle system. The limits of rpgmaker have been broken, which means that doing max 9999 damage is a thing of the past. Within very wide limits, you can now do almost anything you wish, such as stacking and combining your skills!

The new battle system is very deep and you might find it rather complex in the beginning. When you have mastered it, however, you can unleash hundred different strategies to suit your particular style of play. It’s not easy though, and it can take a long time to get to grips with every detail of it!

A very powerful boss!

oh goody, i found an obscure bug >.> well, to be fair, i did kinda cheat a bit to speed through some of the longer areas so that would explain my stats hehehe ^.^; so that might have something to do with it, never know (all i did was raise my sp/sw and gold and exp as thats all i usually do when these rpg maker games start bugging me alot)

i wonder just how much i have left to this game anyway, iirc the furthest i ever reached was where i am now and thats the castle beyond the glacier in trial #2.

oh yeah, 1 last complaint...*twitch* grammar, it STINKS and so far has been anywhere from mildly annoying to frustrating to read. sorry but that could use some work (not just the countless typos). also, that scene outside the castle i'm at...wth? thats the first thought that comes to mind when Alyssa started talking there >.> completely lost me on that part.

as for the save file, let me find it and i'll send a copy.

edit: um...where does this game save to? i never bothered to check that before.

edit2: (about the obscure bug...) *notices orb exp bug* *proceeds to mimic tonberry from the FF games*...*doink, dead boss* (melee weapons) *doink...doink...doink* lol

Yeah the script has always been a problem because I'm not english speaking myself. So if you know someone or if you want to help me to improve it even more let me know. The save game should be in the project folder where the game is installed.
ok... well, all i see in the install directory (C: > program files > Stevie v.d. Laar productions > finalt tear3 > etc.) are the folders and map files...and dynloader, erreur (error file by the looks of it), irunin, harmony, noautobattle, powerp, and rpg_rt files. dunno which would be the save files :/

as for the script... i get the feeling that, with what i've seen in-game so far, i'd be marking off/correcting grammar in so many places... lol don't know how much i'd be able to help since i've never done much in the way of editing like that but if you want to let me look over it then sure i guess. i mean, with english as my native language i don't think i'd make it worse regardless of what i do. >.> (thats a LOT of text to go through i bet)

edit: i wonder... ugh, why doesn't any site have skype in the contact info? there, anyway my skype is treos2 if you want to talk on that any time, might be easier/quicker than these comments.

Yeah I have a program where I can load the whole script in a text file. However last time it did not work. Anyway, I will contact you coming week so that we can see what we can do.
word of advice to those who would cheat in this game (cheat engine): don't give your characters max exp before the fight with morthor at the end of the 2nd trial >.< i'm so strong i can't die as intended in that fight and even that orb exp glitch can't save me lol i screwed up on that fight and might need to start over...again

well i might be able to lose, just hope changing my hp to 1 mid-battle won't go and crash anything :( sometimes i pay for cheating by getting myself stuck

Lol you should not cheat haha. I haven't got time to contact you just yet but I'm pretty busy at the moment with part 1 and a lot of private stuff. Also if I don't have your savegame it will be very hard to solve your problem because you're only one so far. Probably the problem is ralated to your cheating but now sure about that one.

Anyway, I will try to contact you this week for the script but I can't promise this because I'm pretty busy and got a lot on my head. You will hear from me soon.
no rush on the script stuff, been playing borderlands 2 again myself (never managed to beat the true vault hunter mode).

as for that save file, i can't send it until i manage to find it. tried saving a 3rd file just now while watching how many files were in the games file directory (program files (x86), i'm on windows 7 >.>) and nothing changed so it doesn't save to there, or anywhere in my documents folder like some games do. would help if i knew what the file name for the save file was, then i could just do a search and find it that way.

edit: ok, think i found out part of the problem (its a windows issue of course >.< they really did screw up when going from XP to 7, REALLY screwed up...). see the following:

http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/10024/ and http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/8599/

sure enough, i tried running the game in administrator mode to see what would happen and boom, the load option is greyed out as if the saves never existed. so i'm honestly at a loss here as i've never seen this kind of problem before. were i able to, i'd simply reverse what i did and weaken my characters but i can't so now we have a new problem on top of me getting myself stuck. this sucks big time.

edit 2: i'm gonna go ahead and post on the forums about the "phantom" save files as it seems to be a windows 7 problem and not just for this game. if someone can help me with that i'll copy my save and send you a copy.

edit 3: quote from the forum thread i started:

"FINALLY, found where that particular game saves to on windows 7 when NOT running the game as administrator, geez that was annoying. (had to search C:for a file named save and it came up as save01, save02, and save03.)

when not running it as admin it saves to:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Stevie v.d. Laar productions\Final Tear 3"

NOW i can give you a copy of the friggin save file.

Jezus why in the hell did Microsoft make this so difficult. Ha ha thx u can send it to shiningstar1337@hotmail.com
heck if i know but i know i won't be using windows 8 unless i absolutely have to. windows 7 is bad enough when things like that happen. almost as hard to find this games saves as it usually is for flash games >.> and already sent after i found the files, my email is treos100@gmail.com
wow, i completely forgot about this...and now that i remember, i don't think we ever solved that previous issue. oh well, might play again (WITHOUT cheating)sometime or not, dunno
Ha ha I have to admit me too :$ But this will be solved as soon as I did the stuff for Final Tear 2. You can download that game in a minute btw :P
I'm downloading the whole series because each game seems to be awesome(by what I've read).
7 years on the making, wish I had the willpower to do a game for so much time.
I congratulate you.
A new changes list is added for the planned changes for the new version that will come out soon. If you have any comments on the changes lemme know because I can still change some of the changes now :P
Cannot install the patch. get an error message. running windows 7. any ideas?
the most hard puzzle >.<

i am sure it have to do with tarot card (hermit) *well i don't have it -_- *

Can anyone solve this puzzle >.>
I'm so happy I found these again!

Have a question. Can I just download the maingame or do I need patches as for example for Final Tear 2? I'm not sure what you do with those patches to make them work...
Good new ladies and gentleman in the last few months I have really improved the game immensely. The new version will come out tomorrow. And the whole game might probably feel a lot different than before. A lot of good changes have taken the game to a new dimension thanks to the players for all the tips for improvements! Look at the list what is changed!

Can I assume the new download INCLUDES the last fix ?? :)

Can I assume the new download INCLUDES the last fix ?? :)

Yes that assumption is correct! I'm uploading the new version as we speak. Even if you have played the game before it might feel all new because of all the changes. If you have still any new idea's, bug reports or suggestions. Instead of posting them here, post them on the boards -> http://finaltear3.freeforums.org/index.php.

The board contains also a lot of information if you're stuck in the game or are seeking help in general.

Well, if there are no HARD puzzles or characters in hiding or to many strong monsters, I can play and finish the game without bothering you :)

UH OH, the link for free forums is busted :(
