One of the many postgame areas to explore.
I did not have enough room for image tiles so I had to go with text instead. I'm going to try to get a gameplay video up for Friday that shows off the game in its current form.

There are only about 15 items give or take from Dragon Quest 1. I have 35 item slots, not including story items. So there's going to be a lot of other items to collect. Weapons, Armor, and Accessories will also have their own 35 slots each.
Okay, so I went back to the authentic Dragon Quest style. The other style just wasn't working out and it looked a bit cheap. This is more traditional and classic, and true to Dragon Quest. Hope there' s no hard feelings.
Time for another visual update.
Just a minor change in Dragon Quest plus. In the original games, you looked like you had all the legendary armor even if you didn't. In this game, only when you have all the legendary armor will your character portrait and sprite change.
Warning: You can only use Upper and lower, 0-9, Underscore, and Exclaim as characters. I only have 120 images to work with and with battles and the menu, I had to go with 4 slots only. Get creative with those names!
This is the inital design for my menu. As I said earlier, it borrows some design choices from my other game but it is a bit different. It's not final but it works. That's good!
Alefgard has plenty of secrets hidden under the sea.
Mercado has been transformed into a desert town.
Orochii Volcano is only a small part of the bonus dungeon. Sadly, you will have to go through the bonus dungeons alone as I will no longer be aiming for 4 party battles.
Yup, this is it. The colors, everything is finalized. The whole main game is still being re-developed but should be done by the years end. This gives me time to work more on bonus stuff.
Changed the character to Rocket Slime. This slime's name is "Slyde" a play on the name Clyde.
