I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Old vs. new tileset? Looks like they patched up the bullet holes in the wall while they were remodeling.

Yeah, if you're gonna put down new floorboards, carpet on the stairs, and new brick facing on the chimney, you've GOT to put up new plasterboard where the gunshots were. That floor looks really nice. The old brick on the chimney is nicer, though. Just saying.

Bullet holes notwithstanding, I like the sense of space with the map on the right. Much more roomier than the cramped space that's on the left.

This is precisely the angle I've taken with the map updates-- I want the player to be able to move in the space and conceptualize other people also being able to move in said spaces. A lot of the originals are really tiny with only 4-5 walkable tiles.

Reality is far more boring. I just haven't done a painted/lighting pass yet. can't forget the immaculately preserved crime scene.

I kinda agree, though I think the first fails to actually show what's happening there. While we can agree its a chimney, I didn't provide enough space between the wall and where it ends to infer the chimney is facing right out into the room, and instead it looks bricked up. The new brickwork is consistent with the source material and has a nice border on it, which will help with the upstairs room.

I've got a few more details to add. Mainly some coal on the floor by it and fire pokers, along with any shadow details.
