Secret Character #1 Revealed

So, as I said from the beginning, this game will feature two hidden characters, both from previous Final Fantasy games. Being that a LOT of the resources used in this project are coming from the PSP release of Final Fantasy IV, it was a no-brainer to include one of FFIV's playable characters to the roster. As some of you may have already deduced, our first secret character is none other than the King of Baron and Holy Paladin, Cecil Harvey.
Except he's NOT a Paladin. Leon is already filling that role here, so Cecil is classified as a Dark Knight in this game, although he retains his most recent character design. Don't worry, it'll make sense that he's a Dark Knight, I promise. As a Dark Knight, Cecil has a varied skill set, using abilities seen in the arsenals of other Dark Knights in other Final Fantasy games, most notably Final Fantasy Tactics.
Cecil operates a little differently than other characters. His special skills use up portions of his Limit Break gauge, making him a little slower to reach his full Limit Break than other characters. His final skill, Dark Embrace, uses MP to charge the Limit Break gauge by about 15%. Cecil's skills, however, are worth sacrificing some turns to unleash, especially his lone magic spell, Shadowflare. The skill Black Curse is modeled after a skill that exists in a Squaresoft/Square Enix themed MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) that I have been playing for years, named UOSSMUD or UnOfficial SquareSoft MUD.
Mr. LockeZ can tell you more about that if you wish.
Cecil's equipment consists of Katanas, Knight Swords, Shields, and all light and heavy armor. His unique skill, Darkside, uses some of his HP (roughly 10%) to deal extra damage to a single enemy, and can be upgraded to his famous Darkwave with the use of a certain Relic.
Here's just a little more information about his stats and character story. Nothing too fancy here, but I felt I should include this.
So! There you have it! One of our secret characters revealed! Like? Hate? Let me know, I welcome all criticisms and suggestions. The remaining secret character will likely be revealed in a few months time. That character, as I said before, is from Final Fantasy IX.

Oh, also, I realize the HUD looks supremely screwed in that second screen. Script isn't finished yet. No worries.
Vivi is I'm pretty sure the next character. What other FF1 PSP character looks like a FFIX character? I'm pretty sure he's the only one.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I'm still rooting for Queen Brahne, because I'm a terrible person. (In seriousness, based on the classes you already have, I can narrow it down to two characters.)

I'm curious. Who? :D
"Be a dark knight. Wear a PALADIN SUIT!"
Seriously, if Cecil is a dark knight, than use a sprite for a dark knight as I doubt that this game will be kind of in vein of younger Final Fantasy titles.

Steiner or Amarant. Steiner is my first guess, since he's more iconic. Neither is a perfect fit; you already have characters with Chakra and Gil Toss, but you also already have a character with Stock Break and Climhazzard. All the other characters, though, you already have their entire skillsets, except Zidane. And I don't think you'd give Steal to two people, or take it from Zidane.
I kind of agree with Noel about using Cecil's DK sprite.

Except that isn't his "Paladin Suit." It's the clothing and armor he wear sin the After Years as the King of Baron. His Paladin sprites are completely different.
