So Long, Fury Brand...
Vicks' initial Limit Break, Fury Brand, has been removed. It wasn't functioning properly, and due to the way VX Ace handles states and common events during attacks, there was no way to get it working correctly unless I scripted it specifically, and I didn't feel like doing that.
She now has Healing Wind, which restores 50% of each party member's Max HP. Great Gospel has also been renamed to Pulse of Life. I dunno, I liked that name better.
Speaking of broken Limit Breaks, Cid's Master Thief has also been removed. It, too, was not functioning the way I intended it to, and so it has been changed to Spinning Edge (the same name as the Desperation Attack used by Celes in Final Fantasy VI). It deals physical damage to a single enemy over the course of six hits, and ignores defense.
Kelger's On The Level skill from his Gunplay Ability Set has also seen a change. Previously, it dealt damage based on Kelger's level, but it maxed out at a low damage rate that would be useless later on. It is now called Quickdraw and executes normal physical damage, but is very likely to be the first action in a round.
In other updates, I've expanded on some of the battle patterns of the existing enemies, to give them a more varied array of attacks, and conditions in which they'll use them. For example, the enemy 3rd Class can either use a normal attack, Critical, or Frag Grenade. It will alternate between normal and Critical fairly regularly, but is more likely to use Frag Grenade if the battle reaches a certain number of rounds. Many of the early enemies in the Palamecian Research Facility have also had their HP levels adjusted. Players should notice the mechanical enemies taking more hits to defeat.
