Pocket Quest! is half way between a traditional JRPG and board games such as Snakes and Ladders. What normally happens in a role-playing game then, is revisited to fit the mechanical properties of a game with boards, squares and dices to throw.

Story:
The beginning of the story is simple: the young and carefree warrior Nono, in her typical heroes wanderings, comes across an edict in which unimaginable rewards are promised to those who will rescue the kidnapped prince of the kingdom! With hopes and thirst for riches, Nono decides to embark on this mission facing a long trip with Uzu, a giant snail met on the way. But the journey is not without risks, as well as the naturals pitfalls of the places to cross, Nono and Uzu will have to contend with the emissaries of the mastermind behind the kidnapping, ready to put a spoke in the wheel by any means.

Gameplay:
Nono's journey is summed up in 4 looping circular boards, each 64 squares long.

The purpose of Nono in each board is simple: accumulate enough experience levels to gain access to the clash with the Boss of that area and defeat him. Various types of squares are scattered along the route, each representing an aspect of the classic role-playing games:

-The INN, where Nono can rest and save the game;

-The classic SHOP, where refueling of objects and equipment;

-TRAPS that damage Hitpoints;

-MONEY, always handy during the adventure;

-MONSTER squares represent the "casual encounters" with the monsters in that area against which it will be necessary to fight to level up;

-MEETING square allows you to have a chat with local people, which could also assign Nono missions in exchange for rewards more or less generous;

-HOT SPRINGS are there to rejuvenate the body and spirit;

-The BOSS square, where the battle with the guardian of that level awaits (when Nono will be ready);

There are other squares that hide various mini-games, a source of amusement and money in Pocket Quest!

During her trip, however, Nono will be periodically interrupted by Lily, the little demon emissary. She'll curse our heroine with a magic roulette, casting on her every type of malus, such as not being able to see the squares or the closure of shops.

Featuressss:
Custom Battle System
Custom Menu
Custom Message System
Custom everything XD
An entire game made by Pictures

This is more or less everything, but there is more than meets the eyes in the history of Nono ;)

Played and completed this game sometime ago!
5/5, one of the most polished RPG Maker game I've ever seen, with amazing graphics and gameplay.
Difficult for me to find any kind of flaw. It's almost perfect.

Hope it gets translated soon! :)
Hello, Testament.
When the english version will be released?
Is there many things to do yet?
Almost there...

Unofficially I can say... 8th December °_°
Hi, I'm playing this game recent days. ^^
Truly this is worth I've waited for its completion.

It was a bit hard to beat the first boss down, but now, I managed to get the point where I could learn that he, a gentle-snail, is a "furry friend" of Nono. Is he any furry one? Yeah... at least he has got the rich eyebrows. Never known a snail has eyebrows before in my life.

Nono is so pretty that I have never bored with watching her lively actions, despite of seeing the same animations at many times. Lily is so cute, though I think she get in the way too frequently! And Uzu is, um... A-AMAZING!

Hope I can progress it smoothly from now on... Ah, I mean I progress the game, not that I progress his eyebrows smooth.
X°D

Thank you very much. Reading things like these make a 2 years translation worth.

Now I only need some reviews and let's play to boost the downloads!

Now I only need some reviews

Have no fear, Addit is here! :)

I’m already on the second board and just finished creaming the first boss over again last night…but this time I got to do it in English! I decided to focus more on balancing out my speed stat this time around instead of my previous playthrough where I basically just ignored it. It really makes a big difference out there being able to attack two or three times in some fights verses just one.

Also, now that the game’s in English, the Cleo questions are a LOT easier to answer though this time around instead of just guessing like I did before, but some of the questions here are pretty out of place and don’t really fit with the overall setting that’s going on here. Like, for instance, there’s a question here regarding about what nationally Nokia, the communications company, is from, and there’s another question in here regarding around Henry Winkler’s character traits in the old television show from the 70’s and 80’s in Happy Days with the Fonz. Some of these types of questions seem kind of a bit strange for a game like this, but some of them are all right and fit in there just fine. Either way, I’m enjoying it so far!
I'm very glad to hear this! I fear no more XD.

For Cleo's Quiz, I've got many of them from Who Would Be Millionaire and added a lot of "nerd" ones ^^.

Well, at least the nerd ones are the easiest.

Kinda a bit bummed that there aren’t any sports questions in there thus far - but oh well, can't win 'em all.
the 2nd boss is way too hard, I can't kill them because they keep healing and also they block my attacks more often than not, I just don't know how i'm supposed to beat them.
I can't explain very well how this game is good, because the game is a little bit beyond awesome...

@alexjones50:
Probably you need to train Nono more before facing against the bosses. After being beaten by the first boss, in my case, I decided to level up to the limits for the every boards, and then used the magic lamp to get one extra level-up. That made my journey/battles quite easy-going. Or, maybe you need to balance Nono's stats. :) As Addit saying, the agility stat is very important in your battles. Actually, I have always had Nono put on the items that can boost her speed.
Well, the 2nd boss isn't hard actually (in fact easier than 1st boss). It's just that the 2nd boss takes forever to kill. You'll need to dish out more damage than the amount she heals and be able to keep up with her speed if you're going to beat her.

So, train up more and adjust your stats if you have to :)

Also, do train up Uzu. She's a beast at a high level.

Just keep on doing quest and battles in the board before that boss. It is actually very easy to beat it, but you need to be prepared. Always carry enough food to heal yourself and boost Nono and Uzu as much as you can.
Yes, it's a matter of stats I think.
Everyone always complain that the second boss is a breeze compared to the first.
Or maybe you're just unlucky 'cause she doesn't cure herself so often...
But random is a bad beast.

Speaking of Uzu, is there any other way to make Stan appear a lot more often? I haven’t been running into him as much as I did on the first board, and I have all this extra money and stuff that I wanna buy off him!

You can buy an item in the shop that makes him appear more often. Don't forget it to equip it as well of course.

Oh, sweet. Can you buy the item on the second board or do I have to go a little bit further in?
It's Stan himself that sell it.
It's the Gold Fishbone, if you equip it you'll have more chance to meet him instead of a monster. So you can buy anytime, anywhere, but you have to find Stan first ^^

Ah, okay, I was wondering what the hell that fishbone item was used for and I know. Thanks, you guys. ^^

All right, I just beat the 2nd boss – and she was f**king easy! I was getting a little bit concerned there about facing the boss after hearing about alexjones50’s comment about how the boss was giving him lots of trouble and all, but it really is all about the preparation and planning out your attack strategies properly. She only healed herself once when I fought her - and it really wasn’t all that much to do anything.

Also – this happened to me, lol:

NOOOOOOOO, MY GOLD!!!

I didn’t even know that stupid thing could even do that!!! I always thought that thing would just take 100 coins off me, or something, if I got all three skulls – not my entire, whole f**king stash! That’s so cruel...!!!

...But thank god for save states, am I right???

Lol I find that slot machine worthless actually; I get way more coins from coin tiles than that slot machine, especially from the 2nd board onwards.
