Featured Game

I’ve been away for a while, beginning around the time when everything started to get quiet, and I come back to this! I am astonished and thankful for all of the support. After spending roughly a year of my free time and putting my heart and soul into it, seeing my game get featured makes me realize even more that what I created is important, not just to me but to others. I hope that with being featured and as more people recognize my game that I help inspire others in their game making endeavors.

I also have a couple of announcements which I hope won’t be disappointing to any of you. The final version of VorlorN has been uploaded for some time now. In the past I had thought about adding new areas to the game or making an alternate version but it is safe to say now that this is not going to happen. There will also not be a sequel or a prequel but there is a possibility of a spiritual sequel in the more distant future. With that said, I will still update this page from time to time.

My second announcement is that I am putting the RPGMaker programs behind me. RPGMaker has been a great tool in creating what I wanted to create in the past but I believe now that its limitations are holding me from my true potential. Therefore, I have already begun making simple games that can be played not only on desktop computers but also on smartphones and tablets. My next blog post will most likely be more about this. I look forward to the future of things to come and I hope you do to.

You would have to use third-party software to assign keys to controller buttons.
Very Great!

Beg for help.....
I was stunk in the castle, and I don't know the use of the boxes.I moved two of them to the brige which linked two rooms, but it didn't seem to be a right way????
After you push the boxes onto the bridge, you can then run and jump to them.

lol sorry you already got it i just sent a message i did not really want to post how to do stuff here as i felt it would ruin the experience for players if i did but the maker can if he wants of course :3

Edit-
i really have not played this alot and im sorry about that after all the hassle i gave you to help me get it fixed after i finish the anime im on ill focus on it til im done

i wont ask how to get by something unless it really seems impossible or glitch ill just gives thoughts on improvements or suggestions(im not sure if this game was finished or not)

1.in the endless corridor the statues at the end if you click on them it says something about the my issue here is how how you have to stare at the text b4 you can move again clicking buttons should end it if possible

2.is their any inventory screen? you collect scrolls and what not but their does not seem to be a way to see or remember what was on the scrolls so why take them?
This game is finished but I still update it every so often.
The statues are important, so I wanted them to be emphasized if you managed to sneak to them.
There is no inventory screen and the scrolls aren't important but there is a secret that can be unlocked if you collect all of them.

(That’s the part where you have to push the three stones on each of the sides, right?)

All you have to do is push all three stones on each of the sides in the center in order for the sunlight to get inside the main room and light up the black orb so you can continue onwards. (Forgive me if I’m wrong, as it has been a while since I’ve played this game, but I'm pretty sure that's it.)

I quit before getting that far. I quit after dying in the slow walk waters.

Really? The slow moving waters wasn’t THAT bad…!
(Okay, yeah, it was a bit slow. But it's not as bad as climbing those awful stairs in that one place. *shutters*)
This game looks amazing and i cant wait to play it, but when i get to the title screen at the beginning nothing happens no matter what key i press. What I key do i need to press to start the game? thanxs
This game has been tonnes of fun so far, but I really can't find out how to attack the monsters after you get the sword! I've tried every key on my keyboard, but nothing seems to work :c Can anyone help?

The action keys, which include the spacebar, are used to attack the monsters at close range when facing toward them.
Lol, I also remember first getting the sword and didn’t know you could actually attack enemies with it until complete accident on my part. ^^

Hey, Nuzaku. I was suggested this game for an LP. In the end I could only make it a Let's Try due to some trouble with the gameplay and lack of interest due to many little details ruining my experience.

Feedback substacted from the general ranting, you can just skip to the end for the overall review: http://youtu.be/5N0pwSCDfqA

Genral points I had trouble with:
-Too much artificial slowing: walking speed on stairs, slow text and dialog, pauses during cutscenes too long, etc.
-Too many monsters make encounters boring. The monsters in the corridors are more of an annoyance than any interest or tension. They broke interest in the game very fast when they started popping in on each corridor.
-The sword is full of bullshit >V Using it is such a pain I didn't even notice I COULD, which is why I eventually stopped. Some guidance on critical controls like that is an absolute must. (and actually USING the sword is stupid, definitely try to fix that hideous hit detection/enemies spazzing out)
-Using music from beloved games just pisses me the fuck off. I'm sorry. It's nothing agains the game itself, it's just a slap in the face to me. Those games have enough meaning to me that using them in another game will just trigger a NO NO NO reaction in me.
-No huds for health, no menus, no quest hints, no maps, no item list.

Overall, I feel the game was ruined for me because of a lot of details (that are easily fixable, really) that just got in the way. It's a pity, because at the start it seemed really promising. If it got some fixes, I would probably have enjoyed it till the end.
Still, this game is not BAD by any means, I jsut bitch because the details got in the way and pissed me off >.<

Lol, this made me laugh.
I'm going to walkthrough this game. I love the mystery and the fact that pretty much nothing was given away by screenshots or description. Time to go all Sherlock Holmes up in this bitch and do some deduction.

If you want expect a video link.
There are parts of the game that can be challenging and there are other parts which really make you think. Some people don't have that kind of patience, so I think a good walkthrough would be great for this reason. I look forward to watching what you can come up with!
Yeah, I really have to echo some of the complaints. The game is gorgeous and interesting but the puzzles are really tedious. I'd probably only have figured out the crystal orb puzzle through blind trial and error if Addit hadn't posted the solution here.

I managed to align the blocks in a row and noticed the beam strengthened, so I presumed they had to be in a row, but there's absolutely no hint as to where you're supposed to position them, and since they kept resetting when I left and came back I figured I was doing something else wrong. I even went as far as to count the number of tiles in the hallway, but I was off by one -- this is what made me break down and look up the answer, because I decided the answer must have been ridiculously complex or arbitrary. It seems like the only way to realize you're doing it right is to run back to the orb after every possible configuration, which is incredibly tedious and punishing. I didn't even realize the windows were windows at first. Just being able to examine them would have done wonders.

I do like the lack of HUD, though. It can sometimes break immersion when you have bars and icons floating around everywhere, and for a gameplay-light game like this, I think it works. An option to reread the scrolls would be nice, though, especially since they give crucial hints to the puzzles.

I'm currently stuck on the black crystal door. I presume I'm supposed to use telekinesis to flip the switches, but...how? I've been running around the room mashing buttons but nothing happens, and I can't seem to interact with the weird peg things at all.
