This is a game for those who love to explore, experiment, and discover. Welcome.

Story:

You have seen and done things that were
never supposed to be, and I have come
here to offer you a choice.

You can try and go back to your lives as
they were, fighting the Knights and
relieving people of their possessions...

...or you can help me.

Help me make sure that what happened to
you doesn't happen to anyone else ever
again.

Arrym is a Wraith, one of an elite band of thieves notorious for taking on big jobs. He has all the talent in the world, but what little motivation he once had has all but dried up.

Branak has the opposite problem. He is a Wisp, a newly inducted member of the guild, with seemingly misplaced dreams of greatness. He is determined to prove himself in the eyes of his superiors and take his place among the Wraiths.

They are partners.

In the midst of completing a job and evading their sworn enemies, the Knights of the Thorn, they are presented with a bigger job. Much bigger...and far more noble than they would typically agree to.

Grant me the resolve to return to the treasures
I cannot yet obtain, the ingenuity to obtain those I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

- Wraith Prayer

Battle System:

Almost everything on-map in Canvas is evented, including the battle system. Use an assortment of pixel-based attacks and abilities to dispatch your enemies in a variety of ways. You can anger them with arrows, stun them with bombs, throw them into each other with gusts of wind, and more! Each on-map enemy was carefully crafted with its own behavior, movement style, and methods of attack to provide the player with challenging and often thought-provoking encounters. Your on-map weapon will change appearance based on the weapon you have equipped.

Features:

  • Character swapping- each with their own unique "tool" and advantage/disadvantages when it comes to combat (Weapon range, attack speed, etc.)

  • A variety of shared tools/abilities acquired throughout the game, useful for combat and puzzle solving.

  • Item crafting

  • Area maps

  • Bestiary

  • Glossary

  • Characters grow based on your AP allocation

  • Breaks the 8th wall!

  • A free-jump system that works hand in hand with my...

  • Robust elevation system- Ties in with projectiles, tools, line of sight, jumping, etc.

  • Puzzles aplenty!- You will need to experiment with your tools, and then come up with new and creative ways to use and combine them.

  • Mini-games galore!- As you explore the world of Canvas, you will discover many evented mini-games to add variety to the gameplay. They are all fully-interactive game systems as opposed to pass/fail based on a number or stat systems.

Hi Liza,
Glad to hear you're back at it. I'll try and give you some pointers.

Every few seconds the floor will become electrified, so you'll want to stay off the purple squares when that happens. You'll get damaged for a small amount if you are on them. The boss has shields on both sides, so you can only hit him from above or below. He moves around randomly alternating his projectiles straight up/down/left/right and then diagonally. Try and stay above and below him, using fire flux or attacking. If he moves into you or you move into him you get hurt, so try being stationary while attacking for as long as possible. Make sure to go into the menu and use your heal ability or medicines to heal when your health is low.

Good luck, and please let me know if you're able to get by him. Thanks for playing.

Hi canim,
Thanks for giving Canvas a shot. My advice is to start with the really short paths. If there are two red nodes right near each other, put one red square between them. If you're having trouble with the mechanics, click on a node to select that color, and then hold the button down to place colored squares. There can't be any empty squares when all your paths are complete. It also helps to take care of the paths that go up against the walls first. Please let me know if you're still having trouble and I can get more specific for each individual puzzle. Thanks again.
Now stuck on how to beat the boss Peanut.

Guessing only can be hurt from behind but have no way of getting there.

Hi liza,
Good to hear from you. Some help below...

If you hit him with your normal attack it will anger him. He'll then chase you around for a while. I recommend using the sprint shoes as your accessory to keep away from him. Don't worry about getting hit by the fire spurts, they won't do much damage. After he chases you for a while he will stop and growl, and then dash in the direction he is facing right into the wall. Just make sure you move out of the way when he does. He'll be stunned for a bit, so you can attack from behind. Don't get greedy because he hits hard =). Repeat and make sure to heal using your Flux if he hits you.

Good luck. Please let me know how it goes either way. Thanks for playing.

Thanks for playing sweetd1. I can't see any text in your post. Is that a problem on my end, or did you delete it? Please let me know if you have any questions. I'd be more than happy to help. Thanks again.
Hi, please help me, I got stuck at Fort Thorn it seems that I cant unlock the Gate that requires using schematic B to find secret message. Also at Ruins of resolve,, if I will step the tiles with letters,, the door that leads to button will close..

It does my heart good to know there is someone still playing this. Thank you. I'll put some help in the spoiler below...

For the Ruins of Resolve, the specific letters you step on matter. Read the sign for a hint and follow it literally. Let me know if you want more detailed help with it.

For using the schematics, there is usually a spot you want to stand on when viewing them. In the room to the right of the first save/entrance, use schematic B while standing on the tile in the middle of the numbers. Enter the code that is highlighted from top to bottom and left to right. I'm going off memory there, so let me know if it doesn't work.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions or need follow up help with the 2 issues above. Thanks again for playing.
Hey over the years I came back to replaying your games. What I like most is the story. I am trilled to know whar is happening next. You have very good puzzles too. I played Manifest 4 times, but I am stuck on Canvas now at the last gate in fort Thorn. I don't get the last clue. I even played a 2nd time through the complete game to see if I had missed something but I am still stuck.
Also I cannot find the ghost in the evermeadow or figure out what to do there.
Thanks for making these awesome games. Thanks again if you help me out.

Hi rpgnomad,
Thanks so much for your post. It made my day. I'll give you some help below in a spoiler.

If you are using the correct schematic with the pair of raptors, there should be a place where you can stand where the letters will spell out a message that starts with "jump in the..." I am assuming this is the puzzle you are talking about. If not, let me know. And if it is the correct one and you want more help, I can just give you the answer.

Try using the breadcrumbs when navigating the Evermeadow. Everything looks the same, except you will see the breadcrumbs where you left them. Again, let me know if you need more specific help.

Hope this helps. Thanks again for playing my games.
Thanks fir the reply. I solved the Evermeadow Riddle. I tried using the solution before, but I guess I was not persistent.

And I also just found the so lu tion to the other puzzle. Thanks a lot for the awesone fames you make and for helping me out

It's my pleasure. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with. Thanks.
I need some help. Could you tell me, how this mining mini-game works, please ? I can't understand it.
How long is it going to take for me to wait for a reply on my question ?

Hi RogerJr,
I apologize for the late reply. I rarely check this site these days. For the mining mini game, start by picking any 3 spots to put down nodes...doesn't matter where, really.
As an example, if it says the ore is a combined 13 spaces away from the nodes, pick any space on the grid and count how many spaces it is (not diagonal) from each node. Then add those 3 numbers up. If you get 13, that is a possible space for the ore. There may be multiple spaces that work. You get one more node to place to help figure out which of the narrowed down spaces is correct. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need a more detailed example. Thank you for playing!
sbethune81, Thanks for your answer. I'd like to know, how exactly should I count spaces. Should I include such spaces, where the node is placed and where the cursor is in my calculations ?

Count horizontal and vertical number of hops from the node space to the cursor/guess space. Don't count the node space itself.
