"My name is Shimoda Shimoko, currently living in a small village protected by the God named The Ou. Villagers are here required to bring offerings to the God every day in exchange for the God's protection. It's heard that if anyone broke this rule or ate the offering, the village would be attacked by the evil spirits and devastated in the end. But no one has ever done that so no one knows if that is real. I guess that is just a very old rumour, old enough to be forgotten by the God himself maybe. Oops, did I mention that today it's my family's turn to provide offerings? I'd better go now..."
In this game, the player is going to play the role of the main character, Shimoda Shimoko, solve puzzles and get to know the entire story bit by bit. This game was created using Wolf RPG Editor which is one of the most popular game engines in Japan. Though this game was first released in Japanese in 2012, I hope that more people can enjoy the fun (or horror? ^w^) of my game. That's why we initiated this project and we hope it can serve its purpose. Have fun! :)
The game is available for downloading now :D No extra patch/software/etc. needed to start the game but make sure you have your MS Gothic and Arial Black fonts in your computer. If you have both fonts but the text just doesn't look right (text out of box, blank menu, etc.), you may want to try the following steps: Go to Control Panel >> Clock, Language, and Region >> Region and Language >> Administrative >> Change system locale >> Japanese The text should then appear correctly.

CloseI found this game only a while ago, and while it's aged a bit, I think it was a good experience that deserves revisiting some time. If you or someone else ever remake this game, I'd be interested.

Wow. This has over 10,000 downloads, has been around for a long time, and yet I've never seen it before. I really need to get out more.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this one now that I finally got to play it. It covers a wide range of good horror. Creepy, shock and gross were all used and all used very, very well.
Story was average. The twist was stupid. I actually thought the normal end was more fitting than the true end.
But gameplay-wise it was downright annoying. Gameplay choices didn't make a whole lot of sense and too much of it, especially early on, was just wandering around until you triggered an event and then wander around again until the next event. There was guidance for some things but others no.
Oh, and moving save point. TERRIBLE IDEA. Just because something's innovative doesn't mean it's good and that save point was super annoying.
In the end I guess I'll be advertising it as a must-play, but only when the backlog is really low.

Such a heart atacking game... of body, and mental also.
I enjoyed this game along with watching Dobi's LP because I had been stuck in some point of the game. In the LP, he was wetting his pants and solving too soon all the problems I was seriously stuck in. He is genious! lol
I'm going to find another LPs on this game because it's super fun!

What line do you think was crossed? If you're upset over the initial ending, replay the game on its new game + which includes a few different things, plus an extended (and happier) ending.
But personally, I liked the first ending myself. Hidden to avoid spoilers:
It was very bold, very powerful, and one that will leave a deeper impact on its audience for a long time to come. There's no set rule that a game has to have a happy ending. Her presence already defeated whatever monstrosity was haunting the village, but the villagers believed that a death was required to atone for the so-called sin, and she was an easy target. She could have easily turned in the culprit, but the fact that she was willing to be sacrificed on another's behalf spoke volumes of her personality and how she felt about the villagers, even more than what words could describe.
All of this loses its meaning in the replay with the happier ending, but it's still a very good game overall.
The first ending, though,was truly a sad and powerful ending, and one that left me with a wide variety of emotions. So kudos to the developer for crossing the very line you hate.

As you mentioned in the review there was a brown hair girl inside that photo and you pointed out her identity was unknown. Unn....if you care about her...she is actually inside my another game Sukuttee (Save me..) 【。

I didn't notice that i was playing game at 100% sound. I just got such a heart attack -_- great game, but i'll play it after i calm down though

Stuck as in getting the second ending? You have to replay the whole game. Personally, I liked the original ending. It's a very emotional scene.

For some reason I keep getting LoadGraphic errors!!! The main character won't appear at all... Please help!
Please try the following steps:
Go to Control Panel >> Clock, Language, and Region >> Region and Language >> Administrative >> Change system locale >> Japanese
After you change the system locale, extract the game file from the downloaded .rar file again and see if you now can load the game correctly :)

I my opinion, this game is kind of weird.
Its at times scary but the fact, that you have to run around of that house like 20 times and still nothing happens is kinda frustrating me.
I watched a LP on Youtube and well.
It's lovely but I don't really like it that much.
