Pointless Actions
Or are they really? In a world where nearly everything is interactive, yet pointless to interact with, the most boring citizen, Ralph, sets out to find adventure. He seeks help from friends and enemies alike, and little does Ralph know that his adventure has only begun.
Plot:
One lone hero, wandering the world. Sole possessor of the powers Open Door (0 mana) and Interact with object (0 SP) in the dreary land, Ralph seeks something greater than himself.
Finding great power in the most ordinary of interactions, the great and wise Ralph sagely observes and learns various skills- some more useful than others- in his quest tosave the world

rescue a princess
defeat the Ancient Overlord of Darkness and Immeasurable Evil (we call him Odie for short)
slaughter everyone
... his quest to... do... something. Something significant. Something worth making an RPG over!
Features include:

Cast:
Ralph- A generic, uninteresting hero who you can change the name of if you think him to be too generic and uninteresting. He currently is off on a quest to find a quest.

Logan- A loyal, albeit sarcastic best friend who, despite appearances, can actually be capable of being serious. Though, you probably shouldn't bet on it.
The Library- Home to many revered tomes, a few of which being: The Importance of Maps, Dark Magic, and Finding Adventure. Oh, and the lady lurking to the left by those bookshelves over there is the librarian.
Weapon Shop- Finally, an online weapon shop accessible from anywhere! (Exclusive items sold through in-store computers.)
Green Haired Guy - Owners of two of the many houses that Ralph can trespass into if he so chooses.
Clueless Man- He never saw it coming.

A: Look at the map if you're in the First Spring Sector. All the labelled locations have events at them. Otherwise, do as you usually would do- talk to people and perform pointless actions. There's a walkthrough accessible from the top bar, under the title, of this page.
Q: What are these used for?
A: All will be clear... in a future update. Oh, wait, this probably isn't going to update anymore. Ehm... read the guide? You can find it in the top bar of this page.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the final version, v0.6.
Your story is still unfinished, there are still an infinitely large number of pointless actions not yet done. Until you achieve a "GAME OVER", a quit to the title screen, I advise you to get out of your chair, stretch a bit, eat some food, rummage around in some pantries... as long as they're your own pantries. Otherwise, it'd probably be a crime.
Bonus: For the next week, I will be accepting requests to add cat ears to stuff, and I will be updating this "blog" with a bunch of RTP characters with cat ears. Because why not? There's nothing else to do anyway.

Still not working? Here's some troubleshooting for you, then:
Did you install the correct RTP? Is the RTP installed in the correct location? Have you tried re-downloading to get the most current version? What OS do you have? Is there a specific error message, or does the game just fail to open?
I can try to make a no-RTP version if you still can't open it.

I installed the most recent RTP from the website, and installed it in the suggested folder (the VX ACE one). Should I install it somewhere else? I'll redownload it again to see if it works. I'm on Windows 7. The game opens and then displays the message "RGSSE202E.dll not found". When I manually place it in the folder it says RTP not found. It would be really great if you could make a no-RTP one :)

Ummm i downloaded the game but for some reason it says the zip file is empty and it cannot extract the files coz the file is invalid. this happened only when i tried to extract the files with the windows explorer. it said the file was invalid.

I'll look into the problem, it probably has something to do with the way I zipped the archive or something.
In the meantime, could you do me a favor and try using windows explorer to extract another zip file (like, maybe make a text document, name it test.txt, put it in a zip, and attempt to extract it) to make sure the problem isn't localized? Although, with two people both having the same problem, the chance of it being localized is highly unlikely.

The whole purpose of a ZIP is that people can open it without WinRAR, so it'd be pretty pointless if it was "invalid", as Windows explorer so kindly put it.

hey yo! i got to the part where i can board the ship. the demon who sold me the ticket tells me to crash the ship into the iceberg but whenever i do that it says game over. so i was wondering if i was doing something wrong or if i missed something.. i've already visited all the houses and talked to all the ppl so plz tell me what to do... :(

The words that the waitresses in the bakery say are cut off:
"Aren't we cu-(te)"
My awesome French skills kicked in.
"shop de los oddities" is supposed to be "shop de les oddities", and that would be correctly written as "shop des oddities".
Of course this only matters if you are a nitwit like I am. Oh, and if you meant it to be Spanish, just ignore what I said.
That's it for now.. I guess.
(Btw, you got me with "baking 5 bread". I felt like greedy old Scrooge when it all got burnt.)

This small error was separately reported by a reviewer, and I highly suggest you update your game (your save file should be fine)

The batch feature isn't supposed to be any less fair than the individual baking... in fact, everything is pretty much random and the chances of successful baking is, like, 25-33%.

Thing is, I'm afraid many of the players don't. They're more likely to recognize my spanglish "Shop de los oddities" as an oddity shop than a legit Spanish "Tienda de curiosidades"...
(by the way, have you discovered what the oddity shop is for yet?)

Anyway, a progress update:
Many people wonder why I take so long on releases (and am able to respond so quickly to comments) for what seems to be so little mapping progress... I'd like to tell them it's because they have probably only discovered 10% of what the game actually offers.
