Okay, but enough being cryptic. Alyssa is a short rpg game starring some girl who calls herself Alyssa. Others call her Alyssa too. It seems to be her name. You play Alyssa as she struggles through a bizarre birthday, completing puzzles and defeating demons with only your wits and hidden talents to help you. But as that cryptic summary suggested, there is more to this seemingly normal survival horror rpg than meets the eye. Alyssa is part survival horror, part rpg battle, and mostly a mystery. If you want to find the truth then you'll need to look hard, collect clues, and unlock the "real" ending of Alyssa.

CloseThanks. I strongly recommend you make this clear; I was trying to run the whole game with the initial 5 HP/no saving (Almost made it too). It will save a LOT of frustration.
Overall I really enjoy the game though (except the saving thing.) I will now be able to finish it, and hope to post a review soon. Thanks for making it! It's rare to see such attention to detail as here.

After they talk, I lose control of the character and can't do anything.

Would you be okay with getting a non-rtp for the Indie Game version? If you'd like to wait then that's fine. I've tried to fix some bugs, but it's not finished at the moment.

I tried all 3 answers; the first two froze the game on me, and the last one the demon killed me.
I'm gonna restart and try a different sequence of events.

Okay, thank you for taking the time to do that for me.
I mentioned this on our Tumblr, but since this glitch literally happens at the end of the game I will try to make a video of the endings or a game file with only the endings. I'm so sorry for the trouble!
horrors not my favorite genre but ill give it a try :3
its not the being scared/uneasy part that bothers me but the darker twisted aspects that usually come along with it...
so outside of the plot/events
i can say that there are many amazing games in the genre
the amount of work with scripting and drawing detailed sexy looking characters astounds me :3

If you enter alyssa's room with the tree, and hold Down you can walk out while she's talking. Her surprised face will be permanently there in the corner.

I'm playing Alyssa right now... after talking to the demon and being teleported to the basement with the parents still on the bed... I'm unabled to move nor go back to menu... it's like frozen (even though the pentacles shine and I still hear the sound of water drops... HELP !

Got to the part where you're given 3 answers to reply to the demon with.
After the small cutscene, I couldn't move or even open the menu up.
Overall, great game. I really like it. I was pretty mad when I found out I could no longer avoid ending 2 just because of that one mistake, though >.>;
Another note - having demons in the save area was pretty annoying. I recommend putting the save point in the hallway, instead. And the area where the demon teleports you to - I'd suggest having a set move route for those.. things.

Yeah, there is an annoying freeze-glitch. It's not just you guys, and there is no fix ATM.
For the endings, I use like 3-4 save files for one game and save at key points. Or just restart for each ending.
There are several heal/save points. Outside the place where you get the gallery key is a free one if you want.
