Yeah, I hate to beg for feedback, but it's been awhile now since I've released the demo and I haven't really gotten anything except one comment. I know some people have downloaded it, so I'm just wondering what you think about it. Is it an improvement? How is the monster capture system working? Etc.?

I'm not asking for a full review or anything, but if anyone has gotten a decent distance into it, let me know what you think. I worked my ass off on this so I'm gonna really anxious to hear what people think (even if it's negative).

I'm going to be honest, I never even played it. But don't worry, this happens every time I download an RM game.

I should play it and give some feedback though, it's only fair.
I'm not going to lie, I didn't even know there WAS a demo. Fanfare, man, you gotta use it! Keeping that in mind, I'll download it now and tell you what I think.
So I'm playing through your game, right? And I have a confession...

im in love with a man

and that man is named nicob
Seriously, so far at least, this game is pure sexual magic
The only thing that bugs me is the occasional graphical inconsistency. It's not really a big deal with say, the use of chipsets, but for example, the differences in the sprite of Archemedes and the sprite style of everyone else is like, major. I know there's gotta be a suitable 'king's adviser' Rudra style charset somewhere, because his RTP sprite clashes BIG TIME with everyone elses.

Another example are the King's throne room. Couldn't you have easily used the Rudra chipset along with the rest of the castle? I know the player himself can't transition between the castle (which is Rudra) and the throne room (which isn't), but it's jarring because they're two different styles for the same place, just different rooms.

These aren't MAJOR criticisms, just something I noticed, but I believe that addressing them will help your game a hell of a lot! Because it's pretty awesome!
That was something I was definitely considering, but didn't think it was a big deal. But I definitely see what you mean, so I will look into it. Thanks!
I only played a little bit of this, but so far it's quite enjoyable.
- Battles are (for some unfathomable reason) quite fun and enjoyable to play though. As mentioned, I have idea why, but you're doing it right. Perhaps it is the fluidity and polish of them.
- Dialogue is actually quite nice. Even though some of the mapping isn't that great, the dialogue was interesting and really stood out to me personally (even though at some points it was quite boring and stated the obvious).
I'd also like to point out that there are a few quirks that I have with the game as well. These being:
- Some of the mapping during the introduction and first part could be improved upon ten-fold (sometimes the mapping is a quite bland and uninspired (level-design wise), which sometimes is a little boring and dull to walk through. Though, this is probably due to my high standards when it comes to mapping and graphics!).
- I dislike Marcellus' sprite. It just had a completely different colour palette/scheme to the Rudra characters, and feels quite out of place. Perhaps recolour him in the same fashion as you have for Epoch?
- There is a tileset error in the introduction (where Marcellus is over-seeing from a cliff. When he walks away, his head is cut off by the corner of a cliff).

I haven't really played through much, so there isn't much I can say at this point.
Yeah, sorry about the cliff in the intro. I changed the size of the cliff before releasing and didn't check for any mapping errors there. I will try my best to improve some of the intro maps. If you have any suggestions for improvement, I'm completely open to it. Anyway, thanks for the feedback; keep throwing me more!
I just finished it. I might write a full review sometime soon.
Excellent so far, but you should insert a save point right before the boss fight with Malevolent but after the cutscene that precedes it.
