In “OFF” you take control of a mysterious person called “The Batter”, who is described to be on an important mission. The Batter, and yourself as his controller, are dropped off in zone 0, the first of 4 zones in a perplexing, unknown world about which you slowly find out more and more in the process of the game.

“OFF” has been praised and known as an insider’s tip between French gamers for its strong story, great characters and incredible atmosphere. Though we had to fix a few bugs in it so that the latter works on every Windows computer (the required system to play this game), I strongly agree to these opinions.

The game is originally released in 2008 and the credit goes to Mortis Ghost,Unproductive Fun Time and Reconstructed Game Team.

How about a download link.

Well, that's would be great.
Would it be weird to say some of the character's are really cute?

Good to hear that. Seems like I'm not the only who knows this game so much.

It wouldn't.
Ah, nice to see this on here.

This game has a critical but fairly positive review over on infamous review blog Dragon Quill if anyone's interested.

Finished playing this game a few weeks ago. It's extremely interesting and well put together, a treat for anyone who likes a little bit of surreal adventure in their RPG. The only weak spot I found was the battle system, as while the enemy battlers are always neat to look out, the actual mechanics are a bit bare and unpolished. The rest of the game shines, though!

Ahhh. That's awesome, I think. Don't you like to make a review?

I don't.

I really don't know what should I say to this.
Wait... is this the original OFF? If so, did you get permission from Mortis to post it here?

Played this game about a year or two ago,
it's really, really good.
I absolutely love the character Zacharie & the batter.
Beautiful plot twist in the end.

Yeah I did. Sry. I didn't think that you won't understand this word, however it's hungarian, I think. I mean it's pretty familiar like yep. We use sometimes yap, yep, jap, jep, yea, yeah, yoh words as slang for 'yes'
I ain't sure you'll understand this. Nah. At least I tried.
I just found out there is a slight mistranslation of one of the dialogues toward the very end of the game that nonetheless massively changes the meaning of the entire game. Spoilers of course...

In the English version remember when the Queen says "...the son you and I brought into this world..."? According to several people in the original French version she actually was saying "...the son that brought you and I into this world..."

I have no idea what to say, or how to make sense of this if this indeed is true. A complete re-reading of the game is now in order. I may take a look at the OFF wiki which apparently addresses this mistranslation and offers an interpretation of the game taking the "correct" translation into account.

That's pretty useful but well, I'm not a developer so there is only a tiny chance I can fix it.
Hey everyone! I think you would like to play Legionwood too :) Why, 'cuz it's fun... Of course I rewrote some(many) textures and other things but the upshot... So it worth it ^^
