The Stoneville Mystery is a linear adventure RPG. You play as Johnny, a little boy searching for his dad during a storm in the night. Ancient magic and decades-old secrets demand to be uncovered, but danger awaits the unprepared.
It's eerie, atmospheric, and occasionally comedic, leaving you guessing at every turn what kind of puzzle will pop up next. Talking statues, a forest witch, benevolent ghosts, and vengeful spirits all come together to create a delightfully magical mystery.
Play time is 30-60 minutes.
Instructions:
Use the arrow keys to move. Use Space or Enter to interact. Hold Shift to sprint.

alot of doesn't make sense here
why would the kid leave the house rather then w8 until morning?
why is there so much money lying around?
why does your dad have a npc master key?
ending was empty XD
The best part of this game was the music
the mapping is good
the triggers are good
the characters and story are meh
a couple custom pictures was a nice touch
General idea you are a kid and wake up look behind a curtain which is your dads "room" he is not there and for no real reason you spend the 1- hour looking for him.
the ends pretty predictable
so the story and characters are a weak point in this game
the rest is good+

There's a game breaker, if you access the gargoyle statues in the temple from the side they can't move out of the way when you insert the silver and gold keys and the game gets stuck, you should make the dialogue so it only activates when the player is facing up to prevent that happening.

I'm stuck ; v ;. I don't know where to get the last bit of coins to get the Dubloon to get the stale ale? I'd really, really like to finish this game! So help would be wonderful. Thank you.
(Also, I got the Blue Stones from the witch's house, the west side of the forest, shed, and scarecrow. But not at the cemetery where you found the gemstone? So help with that would be great too! Thank you.)

Just played and finished your game.
there was a point where i completely got lost, then started new game because i thought it I did something wrong but I didn't, I was just stupid XD
anyway I like your game, the puzzles and the mysteries :D (I dont have any clue what the blue fireball friend thing was about)
by the way I also love the Game Over screen :)

This game was fun to play

Spoiler regarding how to get the Gemstone in the Cemetery
You have to go inside the forest temple. You will need two keys: Gold and Silver. You will acquire the Gold key in the Witch's House and you have to buy the Silver Key to the town's old merchant, it's worth 100 coins I think. Once you are there you will be chased by 3 skeletons, don't worry since they're easy to dispose of, just let them near the moving thorn traps. After that get the shovel, remove the debris on the right, you'll have to use the ale to make the plant grow, go up and you will find his father. After that go down and you will hear a voice, go near the statue on the left and she will give you a flower, you will have to give that to her sister (the statue in the cemetery) and that's the time you'll be able to acquire the gemstone.

I really, really enjoyed the game. I don't really know what it is, but it has something really, really sweet to it. I love the little details when you investigate stuff (for example the protagonist being to small to look over the counter) and in general it is one of these games which make you feel really comfortable. I think a lot of heart and soul went into itand i really like it. So thanks a lot for making it :)

Jueguito corto y ameno. Muy fácil y sin florituras de complejidad.
Lo jugué pensando que iba a enfrentarme algún juego de terror tenebroso, pero no fue así. Afortunadamente, no me decepcionó, de hecho, me hizo pasar un rato agradable. Pienso que está orientado a niños, que recién se aventuran en juegos cortos y de aventuras, pero con una onda un poco dark.
Es muy straightforward. Tienes una serie de pequeños puzzles que se resuelven gracias a simples asociaciones de objetos o usar llaves y demás elementos para poder continuar en la aventura.
Simpático juego de aventuras, family friendly y agradable de jugar.
