Progress report for October 21-31
Wednesday-Friday, October 29-31
Nothing was done, I just wasn't feeling up for it by the time I opened RPG Maker VX on Wednesday night, or all day Thursday or Friday. A bummer of a Halloween.
Tuesday, October 28
I finished linking the first part of the second area, Renzan Island. Not a lot of work, but better than nothing.
Monday, October 27- one month to American Thanksgiving
I finally finished connecting areas in the first part of Episode 2. Ever since The Game Making Drive started (with a 5-7 day exception), Dragon Kingdoms: Birth of a Legend development has really taken off.
Looks like I'll be readying the next set of areas by November.
Weekend of October 25-26
Not a lot happened, weekends tend to be slower for development. I usually use this time to look through the files and maps of the game.
Friday, October 24
I changed the starting equipment for all characters, and started making Episode 2, and began linking all those new areas.
It has now been seven years since Dragon Kingdoms IV was released, as well.
Thursday, October 23
I finally got to finish the database for items, weapons, spells & armor. I'm not really worried about having all the monsters ready in each episode, but I did get the spells sorted out for each character.
Wednesday, October 22
This has been a really slow period. I've all but finished Episode 1, just need to add a few minor things, as found in my old remake files from 2005. But I assure you the project is NOT dead.
Tuesday, October 21
I found my old remake files for Dragon Kingdoms I, II & III! Now I can standardize the database between episodes, so all items and spells are available for use. The enemies can be added later.
